Oh, Christmas Tree (Home for the Holidays Link Party)
Our Home for the Holidays party is still going strong! Thank you so much to all who have linked up their mantels. So many beautiful, inspiring and heartfelt posts. If you still want to share your’s, pop on over and link up here. I’ll be sharing a few of my favorites next week.
The party is continuing over at Restoration House Interiors and I can’t wait to see how Kennesha has decorated her tree.
Here’s our tree:
Our Christmas Tree
As you know from my mantel, I’m really into silver and all that sparkles this year. I left all my childhood ornaments in the attic in favor of some very sparkly ones!
Our Mantel
I LOVE real trees, but since living here we’ve always had a fake one. Luke always had a fake one in the UK so doesn’t seem to mind that our home doesn’t smell like Christmas. This year I discovered Scentsicles available at Michael’s, Lowe’s, online etc. This scented icicle really makes my fake tree seem real!
Now for a closer look. The pine cone german glitter glass ornaments we made:
Two snowy owls are perched on branches. These were a gift from Nonni and Grampy to the boys a few years back. They are so soft. Aren’t they cute?

Toile ribbon in off white with a wintery scene in red wraps around the tree along with some silver ornaments from Target. I picked up these fantastic mercury glass ornaments from Save on Crafts.

I couldn’t resist these sweet little birds that were half off at Michael’s:

The star on top was a gift a few years back and it really sparkles:
I love sitting by the tree with the fairy lights on and a cup of hot cocoa loaded with marshmallows. There is just something so magial about it.
It kind of makes you feel like this:
Can’t wait to see all your Christmas trees over at our Home for the Holidays party!
Beaujolais Nouveau 2011 Why Beaujolais Nouveau, of course! At the strike of midnight on the third Thursday of every November, France erupts in a massive celebration…
Very pretty! I grew up with a fake and a real one…my mother was always into Christmas…we get a real one every year now because my guy loves them and I really enjoy it. I let the kids put all there ornaments on so I’m thinking a small one for the dining room with all of my vintage ornaments would be nice.
Hi Danielle, Your tree is gorgeous. Love the owls and glittered pinecones. I’m also loving silver, gold, white and lots of glitter this year. Thanks for sharing. Celestina Marie
Looks great! I love the simplicity of it.

Love your tree, love all the sparkle.

It’s really pretty, I think I need to add ribbon to mine, so may just have time to link to the Christmas tree party.
