CoCo (Before & After)
Meet CoCo! She appears French but is actually an American.
She has such pretty and feminine details. You may have noticed her in my Open Studio post, but I felt like she really needed a post all her own.
When I met her, she was already black, but needed a new paint job. I fell in love with her mirror.
and those little brass attachments that hold the mirror on. Swoon.
I repainted her in Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in “Typewriter” with the bonding agent added because the surface was already painted. While painting I realized a few drawers needed repairs. A big thank you to my hubby for that!
Here’s a few more things I love about her –
The MMS Milk Paint White Wax that highlights all her lovely details.
The dainty, glass pulls from D. Lawless. I love their shape and how they capture the light, almost like little chandelier.
Her lovely turned legs:
The scrolling drawer liners:
Like black cashmere she is timeless and has a lovely shape. Perfect for a child’s room, an entry or a landing.
I desperately tried to find a place for her in my house and she doesn’t fit.
This stylish lady is looking for a new home.
pretty! love the rich deep color!
She’s lovely! Black is so classic…can’t go wrong with it!

She has a lovely overall shape with a great mirror, and now a fantastic finish !
I like how the white wax brings out the details. It’s too bad she does not fit in your home. Have a good day.
