May The Force Be With You, Halloween 2012

Star Wars is huge in our house from the movies to Star Wars Wii to action figures and now light sabers with sound effects. Since getting the Halloween costumes the light sabers have been the toy at our house. They like shutting off all the lights in the playroom and dueling in the dark.
We had the most fantastic weather for trick or treating in the harbor after Hurricane Sandy this week.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I used to get really excited about it growing up and my mom used to come up with the most elaborate costumes. I shared some Halloween moments with you last year. Here’s how the boys looked last year too.
In Scituate it is a great tradition where the harbor merchants fling open their doors and indulge the little kids, and us big kids too, we open our bags and cheer “Trick or Treat?” Everyone gets into it. I saw many witches:

My two little guys had so much fun and have bags full of candy. Hoping you all had a lovely and safe Halloween. Can’t wait to do it all again next year. Conor is already telling me what he wants to be.

I love the duel at the bandstand! We missed the harbor this year. But it was a perfect night for trick or treating!
