Exciting News – Flippin’ Furniture Expo
You guys I have some exciting news today! I haven’t been able to share until now, and the suspense is killing me….I can finally spill the beans!
I will be presenting at the
GF Flippin’ Furniture Expo in Chicago
The GF Flippin’ Furniture Expo is Sunday, October 30th through Tuesday, November 2nd and I’m so excited to be a part of it!
This three day conference is hosted by General Finishes. I adore their gel stains and paints and have used many in my own home and projects for clients. Paint is my favorite way to transform furniture, a room or even a simple frame. I share so much in my eBook but it’s really fun to paint with other furniture lovers!
Why should you attend? The Expo is a must for all painted furniture enthusiasts with hands on classes galore! The presenter line up is amazing and can’t wait to meet them in person! You can see more about classes here, but to give you an idea they include: faux finishes, transforming wood into barnwood, glazes, photo transfers, how to spray furniture, pearl effects, creating patina, painting cabinets and more! They’re also offering other business related classes – photography and increasing income. General Finishes are keeping the class sizes relatively small so attendees can have a true hands on experience.
What am I teaching?
In my class we’ll be working with Saltwash. A product I just adore so much! I shared these frames yesterday and have also created furniture and trays for our home with this product. My love for Saltwash started back in May and it’s so easy to use. Since first chatting to the owner Carol, on the phone, we’ve built up quite a friendship and I’m so excited to represent this wonderful product at the conference and so honored they are sponsoring my class.
I know many of you have been asking about Saltwash in Europe. It’s coming very, very soon! I’m so excited and pleased for the growth of this fun company.
So here’s a little description of my class:
Explore the process of layering paints as Danielle of Finding Silver Pennies introduces Saltwash; a powdered paint additive used to emulate dramatically aged, textured finishes. Attendees will partner bright and muted colors for punchy coastal combinations and traditional neutrals for farmhouse classics in this hands on class.
Isn’t that salty texture just so yummy?!?!
I’m currently loving the black and driftwood combo. Maybe it’s because I have fall on my mind.
The Lime Green and Key West Blue combination is Boho and fun!
This will be my first ever trip to Chicago and I’m hoping to see a few sights while I’m in the city. My dear friend, Jennifer, of Town and Country Living will be my unofficial tour guide and will also be coming to the conference. We’ve been friends for many years online so it is gonna be so amazing to finally meet in real life!
I know autumn is a very busy time of year, but I hope you’ll think about booking your tickets to come to the GF Flippin’ Furniture Expo, click here to register. If you’re attending, I hope you take my class! It’s gonna be so fun to paint together!
Hope you have a wonderful Friday and weekend!
If I lived closer I would be there. I love Saltwash and that is what I am using on my project I am working on now. I know you will have fun.
So excited to hear you will be teaching a class! I live in Chicago and will be attending the expo as well so hopefully we can connect. Looking forward to signing up for your class. I haven’t yet tried out Saltwash, but have been wanting to. If you have any questions regarding accommodations, restaurants, getting around, etc. feel free to reach out to me.
How fun Danielle!
I’ve done one project with Saltwash and loved it. I still have a ton of powder left that I need to find my next project for. It is a really fun finish!!
Hi Danielle,
Congratulations on being chosen as a presenter at the GENERAL FINISHES Flippin Furniture Expo. That is exciting news. I can’t wait to try salt wash. Loved the Nautical themed boys’ room. My daughter and I are getting ready to do an update on her 11 years old twin boys’ room. We all love Cape Cod , so the nautical theme just needs a tweaking to make it a bit more grown- up!
