Our New Mattress
This post is sponsored by Mattress Firm. They provided me with product. The opinions I have shared about the products are my own.
Are you on the hunt for the perfect mattress?
If so, today is your lucky day!
I found it!
If you follow along on Facebook, then you maybe saw a giant package being delivered to our home last Friday.
It felt like Christmas, my birthday and anniversary all rolled into one.
This was our old mattress:
Can you see where it’s sagging in the middle?
These sags meant Luke and I rolled into each other and also are backs were in agony by morning.
We weren’t sleeping well and we kept injuring our backs.
So when Mattress Firm sent me an email asking if I wanted to try out one of their mattress, I immediately said, “Yes! We need a new mattress badly.” We piled into the car and brought Conor with us (he jumped on a few beds up there but the sales girl was super nice) and we fell IN LOVE with the Beautyrest Black Hybrid Plus. I love it so much I shared a little video:
Mattress Firm was amazing to deal with! Our mattress came so quickly and the guys who delivered it were wonderful.
We went with the traditional height foundation and the Beautyrest Black Hybrid Plus, the Wellington Plush Pillowtop. (affiliate link)
This mattress comes in three different comfort levels.
This is the foundation:
Here’s what the mattress looks like:
Isn’t it pretty? You can see just how high and plush and gorgeously supportive it is!
No more sinking!
This mattress is amazing for a few reasons.
It has memory foam AND pocket coils. So it is fully supportive. When you lay in it, it feels like the bed is giving you a hug. The memory foam surrounds the imprint of your body while being supported by the springs.
Luke actually laid down just after the delivery and didn’t want to go back to his computer to work.
This mattress also has gel technology. The gel inside the mattress wicks heat away if you get hot while sleeping. I’m always cold but Luke gets hot in the night so it’s perfect.
Did you know the average person sleeps for a third of their life?
That’s a long time.
In some cases, that’s 25 years or more!
Don’t you think you should spend those 8 hours a night, 25 years of sleep on a comfy, supportive mattress?
But if you’re like me, I don’t just sleep in bed.
One of my favorite things to do is read in bed. Each night I read to my two little guys. It’s actually my favorite part of the day! I’ve read to them ever since they were babies.
Each night the kids pile onto our bed and snuggle down. I usually read a few chapters. How could I resist their pleads to read one more chapter, “one more chapter, Mommy! Please…”
I can’t.
I love to read books in bed and also have a stack of magazines that I still need to read. My bedside table is filled with “to read” books. Maybe this summer I’ll get to them all!
I’m excited to sleep in after tomorrow.
Perhaps, lazy mornings with breakfast in bed are in store?
A girl can dream of warm buttered crumpets!
But I guess the most important thing that happens in bed. Is dreams. The time to rest and dream new dreams. So many have come true for me with this blog, but I know some I haven’t even dreamt yet.
I know I’ll be having sweet dreams every night in this bed.
As will little Max!
A huge thank you to Mattress Firm for the best dreams of our life!
