50 Handmade Gift Ideas
I always tell my kids the best gifts are handmade. I truly believe this. Today I’m sharing 50 Handmade Gift Ideas in case you want to make some gifts for family and friends.
There’s nothing quite as special (and personal) as a handmade gift. I love how handmade things tell their own story, but also show so much love. Both of our kids have asked Luke and I want we want this year and we say (as we do every year) make us something. A handmade gift created by them and filled with love is so meaningful to me. I hope you enjoy these 50 Handmade Gift Ideas. This post is great for the holidays but it’s also a great post to come back to season and after season because many of the ideas and projects are timeless.
I’ve gone back into our archives and rounded up my favorite recipes, crafts, art and DIY projects. I hope you love this as much as I did creating it. All you need to do is click the button under each to see more about the project or recipe. I’ve already shared the ultimate gift guide for everyone on your list and my shop small gift guide featuring many of my favorite local shops.

Watercolor Pine Tree Gift Tags
Hope you have a beautiful weekend, friends, and thank you so much for reading!
Hi Danielle, That is a great list. It covers all levels of talents. Everyone can find something on there. Of course my favorites are the watercolors. The holly and the fall leaves are gorgeous. That is the style of watercolor I am interested in. I am guessing those were done “wet on wet”? My big question for you is: How do you keep/organize all of your originals?….If they are not in a sketch book. I would not be selling mine…highly doubtful!!! I would hate to just throw them in a drawer and never be able to put my finger on… Read more »
Hi Josette, I’m so glad you enjoyed this post! I really wanted to write something for everyone. Yes, the holly and leaves are wet on wet. I love a free, loose style with watercolors. I actually bought a flat file drawer in white from Ikea. I have all my originals in there. I do have a watercolor sketchbook I bought last year but I’m worried about “messing up” in it. hi, the cocktail glasses(for champagne cocktail and others) from Home Depot are lovely but they are discontinued. wondering if you purchased them recently and if so, at which location? I live close to you and would hop on over there to picks me up. ty, Ali
Hi Ali, just seeing your comments now. The champagne cocktail glasses are not a recent purchase. Here’s something similar from Ikea – https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/saellskaplig-champagne-coupe-clear-glass-patterned-90472905/ and https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/froejda-champagne-coupe-clear-glass-20581385/ looks like they are in stock at Stoughton. I hope that helps. Danielle xx
