Winter Gin and Tonics
Our winter gin and tonics are perfect for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.
We really are big fans of G & T in our home. For some reason, they remind me of holidays with Luke’s family in France. The minute I take a sip, I’m transported back to warm Augusts eating roasted peanuts and marinated olives in France.
I’ve loved taking part in Krista’s Seasonal Simplicity Tour and today marks the last one for winter. A bunch of my friends are sharing ideas for New Year’s Eve!
Maybe it’s just me, but when someone says New Year’s Eve, I instantly think of fancy dresses and sparkling cocktails.
I wish I could tell you that we get fancy here and throw a giant party or get invited to something very lavish, but we don’t.
We put on our PJs, have Thai Takeaway, sip Prosecco or cocktails and watch movies and play games with our boys.
This year we’ll be sipping winter gin and tonics.
These may look hard, but the key ingredient is muddled fruit and sprigs of rosemary.
This year, I’ve also become obsessed with pomegranates. I’ve used them in our Christmas tablescape which you can see here and here. I bet your not surprised that pomegranate seeds have made their way into our winter gin and tonics!

Danielle, you know I love your blog and it’s content, but today your photography is over the top gorgeous! I love photography but my skills are no where near the caliber of yours. I’ll send my mom’s banana bread recipe soon.
Oh, my goodness, thank you so much. I think I had far too much fun taking photos of these cocktails. I maybe put too many photos in the post 😉 With photography I think it’s practice. The more you take the better you get. I upgraded my camera last year from a Canon Rebel to a Nikon D850 and now notice a huge difference. I can fit full rooms in now and get sharper photos. Ooooh, I’m so excited to bake your mom’s banana bread with the boys xx
It looks so refreshing!! Happy Holidays!
xoxo
They are delicious! Happy holidays, sweet friend xx
Your pictures are so amazing! It looks so refreshing. Merry Christmas!
Thank you, I so enjoyed sipping them and taking photos. Merry Christmas to you and your family xx
Those look thirst quenching Danielle! Thank you for sharing on the blog hop.
These are lovely and work for any gathering during the winter. Thank you so much for organizing the tour xx
Hello. Beautiful photos. May I ask
Where you sourced your cocktail glasses?
Thank you, Jo. The glasses are actually from Ikea 😉
I don’t drink alcohol, but I can still appreciate a pretty beverage like this one. It’s been fun getting to know you through Krista’s series! xoxo
