Favorite Apparel

First up I just have to share these tops from J. Crew Factory! I couldn’t decided which color so I got both! Here’s the red:

Here’s the black:

I love how cozy these tops are and they can be dressed down with jeans or you could wear with black slacks for a more dressed up look. As of writing this post, they are $39.50 and you can get an additional 20% off orders over $100.

The jeans I have on are also J. Crew Factory. I got petites 🙂 Yay! for me! Oh, and for Christmas Eve, I got us all these Holiday Crew Family PJs. I just couldn’t resist, I’m so excited we’re all going to be together for the Christmas holidays!

Favorite Books

I finished the JFK Jr. biography and I was sobbing at the end. It was such a great book and so well written and told by his friends. He just seemed like such a nice, down to earth person.

I’m currently reading After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It’s the story about a married couple who have lost the spark in their marriage. It was a little hard for me to get into at the beginning but now I’m enjoying. I could totally see this being turned into a film. I love all of her books and I’m eagerly awaiting Atmosphere.

On my “to read pile” are Jackie, a novel by Dawn Tripp. I heard her speak at Buttonwood Books and my mom really enjoyed the book. Lunch in Paris by Elizabeth Bard (a book I got at the Library Book Swap Fundraiser). Finally, Close Your Eyes by Teresa Driscoll (Luke’s cousin), I interviewed her for Creativity Over Coffee a few years ago.

Favorite Fundraiser

Party at Mullaney's Harborside in Scituate

Mullaney’s Harborside hosted an unbelievable fundraiser – called the Perfect Pair(ing) in which we were served incredible food and drinks and all the proceeds went to Believe in Community.

Favorite New Products

In case you missed it, last month we released two new lines of products – watercolor supplies which make lovely gifts for creative kids or adults. I’m also teaching classed at Noted. in Hingham and will be adding more class into the new year.

Favorite TV / Movies

Okay, this is a long list. We’re watching LOADS of movies right now.

Movies

My Dad’s Christmas Date on Netflix – A story of a father and daughter who is trying to help him with his love life. We thought this film was brilliant.

Widow Clicquot on Netflix – This is a bit heavy. It’s the story of Veuve Clicquot and the story is fascinating, gut-wrenching, and inspiring.

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire on Netflix but it’s on many streaming services- we watched this with the boys and my mom and it brought back the best memories of Ghostbusters from my childhood. Wonderful and fun film!

Nutcrackers on Hulu – This was brilliant! It’s brand new and stars Ben Stiller and introduces four real life brothers who are actually NOT actors. This really was a great film.

Our Little Secret on Netflix – This is a new Christmas movie with Lindsey Lohan and it’s really light but fun.

Gladiator 2 – We took the boys to see this in the cinema when John was home from school and it was amazing to see it on the big screen. We are HUGE fans of the original, in fact, Max is named after Maximus! The acting, sets, costumes, story, it’s all amazing!

TV

Hacks on Max – I know I mentioned this last month but we’re now onto Season 3 and we both really love this show. It’s so well written and so funny. Jean Smart is super!

Ina Garten’s Be My Guest on Max – I love watching this show while folding laundry. I’ve loved them all, but really loved the Emily Blunt one. I think you guys will enjoy it!

Favorite Lotion

Finally, cold dry weather is here. I love this body lotion. I have really dry skin and this is what I use every day.
