Introducing Our Cottontail Bunny Collection

I know it’s still winter but I’m looking forward to spring and excited to reveal the first new collection of 2025. Introducing our cottontail bunny collection:

Painting a cottontail bunny in watercolor

I enjoyed painting this sweet cottontail bunny so much. As a child I used to tote around a my stuffed cottontail bunny who I named Peter. Every night I’d sleep with him and cuddle him to death. He became worn over years of love and I’d need to bring Peter down to my grandmother’s home to be mended. My Auntie Ka and Maas (my grandmother) would say, “Oh, Dani, sweet Peter needs to have surgery.” They secured his ear, his tail, and worn away fur. I still have Peter. See he’s a little worn, but he is 47 years old…

As a child I always loved Beatrix Potter and still do. I think that’s why I named my bunny after her famous one! In fact, I dream of visiting her home, Hill Top, in England. So my watercolor bunny is a bit inspired by her lovely bunnies and my little stuffed bunny.

I adore this quote by Beatrix Potter:

I remember I used to half believe and wholly play with fairies when I was a child. What heaven can be more real than to retain the spirit-world of childhood, tempered and balanced by knowledge and common-sense.”

― Beatrix Potter, The Journal of Beatrix Potter from 1881-1897

The Collection

This new collection includes note cards, mini notepads, and giclée prints.

I thought the note cards would be sweet for everyday or spring but the mini notepads would be so adorable tucked into Easter baskets along with my watercolor brush sets and paintable cards.

Whimsical Art Prints

The art prints would make a wonderful addition to a child’s room or nursery:
