This week has been a busy painting week here at the Silver Pennies house. My little guy has done so many masterpieces. He LOVES mixing custom colors (as you can see in the above shot). This painting really takes lots of concentration:
Artist at Work
Much thought goes into texture, placement and color choices. He thinks his paints are Annie Sloan Chalk Paint – maybe he has heard me mention them once or twice.
While he’s been busy with his brushes, my ASCP brush has barely stopped painting something. I’ve been playing catch up on my own furniture projects that have been on the back burner for quite awhile. I also knew I had a bunch of custom jobs lined up this month – I just picked up eight dining room chairs Monday night and a dresser for a friend’s baby boy who is arriving very shortly. So, I’ve been painting.
I’ve been painting my dad’s little side table that I shared yesterday. A bedside table for our room:

I also have been painting this 1960s hutch. Conor loved playing in it:

It is going in my office. The bottom half will be filled with design books, magazines and Finding Silver Pennies paperwork. I plan on filling the top (that Conor is in) with all kinds of seaside treasures.
All the while my little man has been making his own masterpieces:
Shortly after I started Silver Pennies, John started kindergarten. I was quite apprehensive and nervous about letting my ‘baby’ go off for the WHOLE day…
Danielle, There’s nothing more pleasing to the eye than to see a child paint with his/her imagination. I have sweet memories of my kids drawing and painting, which always put a smile on their face. I would love to see your hutch when it’s finished. Be sure to show us. ~Sheri at Red Rose Alley
I can’t wait to see how everything works out. Your side table looks so pretty.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone! Check out my web-site ; real casino slot online
