Blue Jay Watercolor Free Printable

The weather has warmed up here and the birds are back and singing amazing songs! I love hearing them from our open windows. This March has been warmer than in the passed years here in New England, I’ve even opened some windows. Can you believe that? Bird chirping weather in March in New England?
These birds, especially Blue Jays inspired me, to create a fun free printable for you. My friend Kristen over at Ella Claire has organized a Spring printable blog hop. I really love taking part each season and seeing all the beautiful printables my friends create. This season is no exception. Everyone has beautiful printables to share.
You guys loved my little cardinal so much last week, I thought I’d share another bird. I’m not sure why but I really love painting birds.
We saw about 6 beautiful blue jays over at Windows Walk during a winter stroll. We learned they can mimic the call of crows too.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to make a printable out of this watercolor. I have three different ones and I styled them with beautiful lavender and succulents in the sunroom. Spring brings lots of time in this room with the windows thrust wide open to allow for ocean breezes up the hill from the Atlantic. It is in this room I can also hear all the birds happily chirping in our yard.
I printed my free printable at Staples on card stock and cut it out with a paper cutter.
I used mounting putty, which is removable, to attach it to a chippy door I found at a flea market:
It looks so pretty against the chippy door.
I played around with fresh lavender and some other plants from Trader Joe’s. The mister was an antique find from Brimfield when Luke took me for my birthday last year.
