What Can You Expect (Open Studio)?
Well, tomorrow is the big day! Finding Silver Pennies Open Studio is tomorrow and I’m so very excited!
What can you expect tomorrow?!? Well, at 1pm the boys, Poppy and I will be patiently awaiting your arrival. We’ll have some lovely refreshments such as ice cold lemonade, homemade brownies and cookies.
Over the past few weeks and months I’ve been busy painting and crafting and Luke has been fixing and drilling 🙂 Today, some of Luke’s friends are coming to help us move the bigger pieces out of the basement.
I shared sweet little Estelle with you yesterday –
It was the first time I saw her in the sunshine. She’s been down in the basement waiting for her big debut. The gilding wax really catches the light.
Who else will be hoping to make your acquaintance?!? So many fun painted pieces, like:
I am in love with these two. The lions head pulls are just gorgeous and are original. You can’t really tell from this image but these nightstands are pretty high and work with today’s higher beds. I might just have to put them in our room if they don’t sell this weekend…
Pretty and coastal Fleur:
Another piece that I’m in love with!
Classic Lily with her chippy finish and original brass pulls:
Her friend Jocasta –
and Meryl who I painted to match the writing desk!
For the beach lover, I have painted oars (all different styles – stripes, stars, and washed), driftwood sailboats and some lovely coastal furniture. Beautiful greek blue chairs with a farmhouse table, a chippy bookshelf, a trunk which would be an amazing coffee table (a map of Natucket is decoupaged inside) and these pretty air plants in shells:
I still have the Sailor’s Knot desk and I think this piece would be great for a boy or a girl!
I also have a gorgeous, gorgeous 65 inch buffet and an extremely chippy Empire dresser! I’ll be sure to share all the before & after photos soon as I’ve run out of time this week!
In addition to the furniture, I will have some antiques from Gentleman & Daughter Antiques, linens, chalkboards and hand painted signs. There is something for everyone.
Please send me an email if you have any questions! Again, thank you to all my lovely readers! You all really do encourage me each day and inspire me to try new and different projects! Finding Silver Pennies would not exist without you. Can’t wait to see you and sip some lemonade!
Such a wonderful collection Danielle! Fleur especially make me smile. Hope you have a wildly successful day!
I wish you the best Open Studio–you have gorgeous pieces so I think you will be cleaned out! Have fun!
Mucho exito mañana en tu Open Studio!!!!un abrazo, Maria Isabel….
You’ve been busy! Everything looks gorgeous…and what a wonderful variety! No one can ever say you get into a rut with your designs! 🙂
Glad to hear you had help today getting items up from basement. Do they still build houses with basements where you live? Don’t think many basements here at all unless it’s really old house. There are some incredible historic houses in Grand Junction. There are couple of free publications that have shown photos and give some of history of G.J. Those night stands are really tall aren’t they? Very different but that’s why I love them. I tend to like furniture and house styles from back east and midwest, but I’ll have to say downtown Helena, MT has some incredible… Read more »
