Christmas at Night
Is there anything more magical than Christmas at Night. The magical twinkling lights, the crackling fire, and the flicker of candlelight. I’m so excited to welcome you to our home at night!
Please join me for a very special home tour – a magical Christmas at Night Tour of our home! Each year we seem to add more and more light to our little home by the sea.
If you’re visiting from Lauren’s beautiful home welcome! Isn’t her home just amazing for the holidays?
You’ve already seen our Traditional Christmas Home Tour and I’m excited now to share how our home looks at night. A huge thank you to Rachel for hosting this tour and you can visit all my friends homes at the bottom of this post.
This will be my last post of 2021. I wanted to take this time to thank you all for visiting my home and sharing in our adventures this year. As for many, it’s been a hard year for us. Our family has felt great sadness this year and loss, but the pandemic has brought us closer together and made us realize we have so many blessings. My wish for all of you is happiness, health, and joy this Christmas and into 2022.
I’m going to to let the photos do the talking in this post but if you have any questions or want any sources just ask in the comments.
Before we pop inside, I NEED to show you the she shed / pool house at dusk…
The She Shed at Dusk
Sometimes sunsets look like watercolor paintings here by the sea. I tried capturing this view in the dark but couldn’t get it quite right.
Our Home’s Exterior
Okay, let’s head back out front.
Luke was actually checking all the candlesticks on the Christmas tree while I was taking photos outside. So this made me laugh:
I love how you can see the tree in our dining room through the window in this photo:
Okay, come on inside and see all the fairy lights inside. Before I show you downstairs I wanted to give you a peek of the kids rooms.

Boys’ Bedrooms for Christmas
We kept things really simple in their rooms. They both have pretty small bedrooms since did the room swap so there’s no room for a tree, but I found these fun lights at Target. I love how they look different in each bedroom.
The light curtain was only $17 and it has several different settings. I thought it was perfect for the holidays but they could keep it up year round if they want to 🙂 I LOVE how they look against Conor’s deep blue walls.
Let’s head back downstairs so I can show you the living and dining room.
Christmas Living Room at Night
Can I mix up a Dark and Stormy cocktail while you enjoy the lights?
Come warm up by the fire, Max might make space for you on the couch!
You may have seen on Instagram that our tree collar finally arrived a few days ago, so I had to figure out how to get our fully decorated tree into it. Glad my hubby and sons have engineering minds.
I still need to wrap gifts…
I’ve mixed meaningful ornaments from my childhood into our red and gold Christmas tree.
We love to read by the fire and watch lots of Christmas movies on the sectional and we’re currently making our way through all our favorite films!
Just off of our living room is the dining room. This is where we enjoy many family meals and Christmas dinner. We’re doing an Italian Christmas this year!
Christmas Dining Room at Night
My husband built us this table a few years ago from reclaimed wood. It’s still a favorite of mine!
We made orange slice ornaments and dried floral ornaments for the tree this year.
I love making things with my kids leading up to the holidays.
I kept things pretty simple with tea lights and candle light in here.
Well, that’s our Christmas at Night! In person, it looks beautiful and magical and hope you could feel the magic through photos.
If you’d like to see our homes in previous years at night (last year we had snow which was very magical) :

Love all the sparkles of the nighttime. The planters with the small trees and lights are very welcoming….LOVE!!!! Yes, please, I will take one of those cocktails for the tour.
I am really loving the red and gold tree, very cozy and old fashioned. It is fun to switch things up from year to year. The BEST ever is the look on Luke’s face!!!…keeping it real is always the most fun!!….maybe he had too many of those cocktails!!!
