Classic Adirondacks
A row of white classic Adirondacks is synonymous with timeless, coastal style. I’ve found the perfect ones for our yard!
As beautiful summer weather is upon us I thought I’d share just how pretty these beautiful Adirondacks look in our yard during different times in the day.
Thank you to raymourflanigan.com for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
I love the lines of these Adirondacks!
According to Wikipedia, “The first Adirondack chair was designed by Thomas Lee while vacationing in Westport, New York, in the Adirondack Mountains in 1903. Needing outdoor chairs for his summer home, he tested his early efforts on his family.” I’m so glad Mr. Lee designed them!
Here in New England you often see this chair style down the Cape, on the Vineyard, and Nantucket. They are the epitome of casual, coastal style. We’ve experimented with other Adirondacks in the past – cheaper plastic ones that only lasted a season and wooden ones that weren’t durable in our climate.
The Generations Adirondack Chairs and matching Ottomans from raymourflanigan.com are just what we’ve been dreaming of. They are made by C.R. Plastic Products out of 100% recycled plastic.
By choosing these chairs, made from recycled plastic, we are reducing tree harvesting and used plastic is getting recycled into beautiful furniture, keeping it out of landfills.
These chairs look so beautiful in the morning sunshine.
In addition to being beautiful they are so comfortable. The moulded seat and back hug your body while sitting in them.
If that wasn’t enough, they’re durable. More durable than wooden, painted Adirondacks. These chairs will last for years to come. They can be hosed off if Max decides to climb up on them, too, which is a bonus in my book.
I couldn’t believe how quickly the arrived. I ordered chairs in March and they arrived a week later. If you live around here, then you know, we’ve been waiting for days like the ones pictured. These gorgeous Adirondacks waited patiently in our basement until the sun came out. 43 days of rain this spring to be exact.
We opted for the factory-direct free shipping. Conor and Luke put the chairs together the other weekend. He also helped me fluff the pillows.
In addition to the chairs, I also ordered these gorgeous Anchor Pillows by Safavieh.
These pillows come in sets of two and are suitable for outdoor use. My coastal-loving-heart fell in love with them the moment I saw them. They have the look of hand crochet but are actually 100% polypropylene, which means they’ll stand up to my boys and dogs. 😉 I bring them in at night to prolong their life.
The evening is a lovely time to enjoy our new Adirondacks with Rosé All Day 😉
I’m looking forward to savoring, crisp rosé on warm summer evenings.
The setting sun over our yard after a day of playing in the pool, or at the beach, just sounds so perfect.
Max thinks so, too.
I’m really impressed with the amazing quality furniture raymourflanigan.com stocks and the wonderful customer service they provide. You may remember we collaborated with them on our boys’ grown up playroom last month. Our whole family is loving that room!
A huge thank you to raymourandflanigan.com for partnering with us on this outdoor space. All the outdoor furniture and accessories are currently on sale. I hope this post gave you some ideas for your own yards. I know we’ll be making so many special family memories right here this summer.
Frosting on the cake. Lovely. THEY LOOK amazing and I know you, your family and friends will enjoy..
Thank you, Beverly, I agree – they’re pretty perfect in our yard.
How pretty and what a perfect spot for them! I always love the look of Adirondacks because they remind of of the lawn at Castle Hill in Newport RI! Enjoy your outdoor time!

Ooooh, I’m not familiar with Castle Hill but will have to check it out. These chairs are perfect for reading or napping 😉
