Dealing with the W.C.
For those who don’t know the W.C. stands for water closet in England. Here’s our W.C. in all its mustard yellow glory:

We are finally (after living here for 5 1/2 years) decorating the bathroom. It has been on the list for quite some time. I finally convinced my hubby to help me. See how high those ceilings are? Well, I wasn’t getting up on that ladder!!!!

I got the paint from my friends over at Hingham Lumber. We selected Benjamin Moore in Shaker Beige for the walls and for the ceiling Benjamin Moore Clear Skies.

We had hoped to finish it all this weekend, but sometimes we bite off more than we can chew…. Do you find that you do this yourself? I did get some oars and a double dresser painted. Can’t wait for you to see this before and after. I’d stained the top in this photo:

Luke patched the walls and ceiling, prepped the room and painted the ceiling. He also (with Conor’s help) fitted a new vent and fixed the molding.
We plan on finishing this coming weekend. So excited to share our new and improved bathroom with you!
This is going to be gorgeous. Can’t wait to see that dresser!
Nothing better than the sight of progress! 🙂
go luke!
I’m sure loads of us Brits wouldn’t even know what the actual initials stand for, but WC is way better than loo or lav, isn’t it !
Looking forward to seeing the finished result and love love love the shape of that chest of drawers.
Oooh, I can’t wait to see!!
