Dried Floral Ornaments
I’m always inspired by nature in my home decor. Today I’m excited to share how to make dried floral ornaments.
Today is the first Saturday of the month which means its time for another installment of Cozy Living hosted by my friend Jennifer over at Town and Country Living. As this month is December I thought it would be fun to make some ornaments. Today I’m sharing how to make Dried Floral Ornaments.
John, my oldest son, and I had so much fun making these ornaments. The baby’s breath ornament was inspired by some ornaments I saw at Crate & Barrel. They wanted $40 for 6 and I thought it was something we could recreate with some things we already had. I did order the baby’s breath from Amazon, but have enough to use for displays over Christmas and into the New Year.
Here’s a glimpse of the ornaments on the tree:
Do you want to see how to easily make your own? Okay, get your hot chocolate, coffee or tea and put on some holiday music. Let’s craft together.

How to Make Dried Floral Ornaments
Materials
- Glass ornaments (that have a removable top)
- Dried Florals (I gathered florals from our yard, but used this preserved baby’s breath, too)
- Hooks
Method
- Break off pieces of the dried florals and put them into clear glass ornaments.
- You may have to push them into the ornament with the stem of the baby’s breath.
- Place top of ornament back in place and add a hook to hang on your tree.
Enjoy your new homemade ornaments.
I made a little video in case you wanted to see just how quick they are to make.
We really had so much fun making these and I feel like they make our tree even more special. We also made some dried orange slices, which I’ll share next week. John made the garland for the kitchen this year.
You can see our tree in our home post that I shared the other day, click here.
The ornaments look so whimsical, especially when the twinkly lights are glowing!
