Featured in South Shore Living
Some of you already know this but I’m so excited to share the fun news on the blog!
I’m featured in the May issue of South Shore Living Magazine!
The magazine, which is based on Boston’s South Shore, features my home and blog in an eight page spread. I am so honored and humbled by the beautiful article written by Noelle Barbosa. Noelle came over one sunny Saturday and we sat here in the sunroom (my favorite room) and she asked me about how the blog started, about painting furniture and my favorite pieces and we also talked about motherhood as she’s expecting her first son very soon! It was lovely sitting and chatting. We enjoyed fresh baked muffins from Scituate Harbor and hot coffee.
When I started on this journey, I never ever in a million years thought it would lead me to doing open studios from my home or writing a book! I also never ever thought my images would be in a magazine, let alone on the cover!!!!
Yes, that image on the front cover is one of mine!
It was so amazing to see my name in the table of contents – Cover photo by Danielle Driscoll.
The magazine had asked for a few of my images from our home so I was so surprised and honored when I saw this image on the cover!
How I LOVE the unruly and wild nature of ranunculus!
The article is just so beautiful! It talks about my coastal style:
Featuring a large photo of our deck refresh. You may remember that Luke built me the table and benches for our anniversary last year. He’s building me something else this year which I’m super excited about! Can’t wait to share more soon about that!
I also talked to Noelle about our She Shed and how it such a lovely space to have in our yard.
As you know, this was a labor of love for us and we had so much fun partnering with Home Depot on it. I love escaping to this little corner of our yard, away from the kids, the noise and the chores of the home. It is also going to come in handy with our home renovations.
Photographer Rosemary Tufankjian also captured some gorgeous photos inside our home, but I think my favorite is this one of our dining room:
Isn’t it stunning?
In the article I got to share a few painting tips and also my spring decorating trends. It really is a “pinch me” moment!
A huge thank you to Noelle, Rosemary, Maria (the editor) and everyone else at South Shore Living. If you’re interested in getting a copy – they have it at Barnes & Noble, local supermarkets and pharmacies. It is also for sale online.
Thank you all for reading the blog, it really means so much to me, as it wouldn’t exist without all of you.
Way to go Danielle! Can’t wait to read the article.
