Friday Favorites (12)
Friday Favorites – A blog series devoted to all my favorites from home decor to books to TV.
You may remember that I started this series to feature a few of my favorite things from clothes, to paints, to food, and things to do with the kids. If you missed any you can see them here.

Morning Walks
Since the boys start school earlier we are trying to walk with the dogs before the sun comes up. This makes my heart feel so full. Watching the sunrise over Scituate Harbor is the most miraculous part of each day. The sheer beauty of the sun rising with the amazing colors painted across the sky. Each morning the lighting and clouds are different.
Everything is so quiet on these morning walks. As the sun rises it seems anything and everything is possible. The new day is full of infinite possibilities. I try to share images from our walk each morning on Insta Stories.
Favorite Source for Pampas Grass
My home decor this fall is very nature inspired. Maybe it’s all these walks I’m taking. I knew I wanted to use pampas grass in our home decor. This is my favorite source for pampas grass.
Favorite Way to Add Instant Ambience
I always swear by flowers and candles for adding instant ambiance. I found these mini blush mercury glass votives for Thanksgiving but I just had to use them for my mom’s 80th birthday celebration at our home. Here’s the source for those candles. These are also pretty and are actually on final clearance so I would scoop them up now if I were you. 😉
Speaking of candles – this is my favorite fragrance in my favorite holder. Once the candle is used up you can use it as a vase for cut flowers from your garden. 😉
Favorite Book
My good friend Shannon just released her NEW book called Home Made Lovely which is also the name of her beautiful blog. This book is so beautifully written and photographed. Shannon gives wonderful tips on finding your decorating style, but also delicious cozy recipes to celebrate your home with family and friends. This book would make a lovely gift but is also a valuable resource for individuals looking to change how they live in their homes. I’ve been friends with Shannon for 8 years and reading her book was like being reunited with my sweet friend – I could hear her voice with each passage.
She shares so much on this page about the book and I’m excited to sharing her story on Creativity Over Coffee very soon. The book is currently on sale at Amazon and Target with 30% off.
Favorite Throw
I love being cozy all year long and this is my favorite throw. The boys gave it to me for Christmas last year. It seems to be Max’s favorite, too.
Favorite Fragrance
For years I’ve worn Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone which I love. My Wild Bluebell bottle ran out and I’ve been scraping by on tiny sample bottles. I hadn’t realized that Jo sold her company and now has another one called Jo Loves. Well, I was so excited to find out I could try her new fragrances in a beautiful sampler collection with a voucher to get a larger bottle.
I’ve had so much fun sampling all these wonderful fragrances. I’ve decided to order the larger bottle of No. 42 Little Flower Shop. It smells like peonies and other flowers.
Favorite TV / Films
We really all enjoyed watching Enola Holmes on Netflix. It’s the story about Sherlock Holmes sister. It has a wonderful cast and was an enjoyable family film. We all LOVED it.
Favorite Way to Learn New Skills
I’m a HUGE fan of Skillshare. While the kids were at school I took a beautiful watercolor class to learn to paint pine trees.
I’m still learning but here’s my progress.
I’m looking forward to practicing more pine trees – it’s really theraputic to paint the leaves – and also try other classes.

Well, I think that’s it for this Friday Favorites, what are you guys loving lately?
Love the new Friday Favorites!! Did you know that IKEA sells a 4pack of unscented candles (1.99, I think) that fit pretty well as replacements for the Park Hill holder? I keep them stocked for fall and winter. You don’t get the wonderful fragrance but still get the ;look.! And have you tried their Pecan Pie scent? OMG.
