Favorite Coffee Shop & Flower Installation
This is the Lucky Finn. I adore this sweet little coffee shop and it’s only a 5 minute walk from our home. Each season, Beach Plum Floral creates a stunning and inspirational installation with fresh flowers. How magical is this creation? It was in support of Scituate Community Christmas.

Favorite Film
Luke and I went on a date night a few weeks ago to see Downton Abbey and it was so lovely. Better than I imagined it would be. Everyone in the audience clapped at the end.
Favorite TV Show
We just started watching His Dark Materials on HBO. John read the entire series ages ago and, though we’ve only seen one episode of the show, he tells me it is very true to the books. Must watch if you’re looking for a TV show to watch with the kids.
Favorite Slippers
I’m LOVING these new cozy slippers! Perfect for these cold morning and nights.
Favorite Floor Cloths
I mentioned these in our front hall makeover post HERE, but in case you missed it, I’m absolutely loving Vintage Vinyls Floorcloths. They’re perfect for a busy and chaotic home, like ours, and come in a variety of colors, sizes and designs. This is the exact one we used.
Favorite Magazine
I’m currently LOVING Annie Sloan’s Book-azine – The Colourist, especially the current issue which is devoted to BLUE!
I’m coincidentally also loving the color that’s featured on the cover Oxford Navy! I’m actually painting something in this hue!
Favorite Books
I just finished Educated which was a great read! I’m a very slow reader and am still reading The Shining (our 13 year old is a Steven King fan) and The Goldfinch.
On my “to read list” are: The Good Neighbor, Touched by the Sun, and I Will Make You Pay.
Favorite Wall Paper
Wallpaper is making a come back and I love how it can transform a room! I adore the patterns and designs at Serena & Lily.
I just used this Praino Paper in green in a clients bathroom:

Favorite Snack
My friends over at Taza have created the most delicious guilty pleasure. Chocolate covered nuts. I love the chocolate covered cashews and the chocolate covered almonds. Yum! My boys have off from school and have a long weekend. I’m taking them to the ICA today for a new exhibit and going to get snow gear on Sunday on Newbury Street. Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and hope you enjoyed reading my Friday Favorites!
