Friday Favorites (39)
Friday Favorites is a series where I share my favorite hobbies, books, films, TV shows, style, and more!
Well, I can’t believe we’re nearing the end of September. I think this was the quickest September EVER! The whole year feels as if it’s going by pretty quickly.
I have lots of favorites to share this month!
Favorite Trip
August ended and September started with a family trip to England. We went over for a family wedding and this trip was a real highlight for our family. We don’t often get to see Luke’s side of the family and it’s magical to watch the boys play with their cousins. I shared more about our trip to Cornwall here.
Favorite Books
I’m finishing The Summer of Songbirds by Kristy Woodson Harvey. It’s a fun story based on three friends who met at an old fashioned summer camp on a lake.
Whilst in England I read Keep Going by Austin Kleon. It’s a very quick read. It’s great if you’re a creative and want some encouragement. It’s also really funny. I love his illustrations.
I also found a book at a free library in a Delabole phone booth. I took a photo of the cute lending library on our last trip. I read Betrayed in Cornwall by Janie Bolitho which is available for free on the kindle. Sometimes I like to read things set in where I’m visiting. Do you do the same?
Waiting for me on my nightstand is The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand. I thought I’d keep that summer feeling going a little while longer. Ha! Ha!
Favorite New Product
I’m not sure if you’ve seen it but I launched the NEW 2024 calendar. I’m really excited about this new calendar and also the refill pack. The boxed calendar is also heading to our retailers.
I have two more launches coming soon! Eeek! So excited for you guys to see our mini mushroom collection and the holiday collection.
Favorite Podcast
Lately I’ve been listening to Books, Beach and Beyond – the podcast for book lovers with Elin Hilderbrand and Tim Ehrenberg. My favorites so far are the ones with Taylor Jenkins Reid, Ann Patchett, Jake Tapper and Jodi Picoult. All are really good! Hope you enjoy it!
Favorite TV / Films
I’m so excited that The Morning Show is back on Apple TV. I love it so much. Each season has been great!
We just watched You Are So Not Invited To My Batmizvah. This was funny and cringey and really well done coming of age story.
The Big Short was really well done and had a star-studded cast. It’s about the financial collapse of 2008.
We also just watched I, Tonya and was really stunned by the performances and the script. Incredible film.
Favorite Fall Apparel
LL Bean just opened near us and during it’s opening weekend I just got this puffer vest in black. I love it so much! I think I’m going to live in it this fall! Luke got these wool base layers for his guys’ camping weekend.

Hi Patricia, I’m so glad you enjoyed today’s Friday Favorites! What are you loving lately? Can’t wait to hear!
Enjoyed this. That little telephone booth lending library is so cool. I like your suggested reads and will check them out, along with I, Tonya. I remember watching it all when it happened. Was shocking. Your painted Hydrangeas are so pretty!
Isn’t that little lending library the cutest! I actually just started a new book today! Yes, I remember that too. The film gives a perspective I wasn’t aware. It’s very well done. Aw, thank you for your kind words about my hydrangeas. I loved painting them. xx
