Friday Favorites (5)
LET’S GET THE WEEKEND STARTED WITH A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS. HERE ARE MY FRIDAY FAVORITES.
You may remember that I started this series to feature a few of my favorite things from clothes, to paints, to food, and things to do with the kids. If you missed any you can see them here.

Favorite Hair Care
I have thick, curly, unruly hair. I’m not sure if you guys at home suffer from this or not BUT my hair only looks good RIGHT AFTER I go to my hair dresser. A friend recommended a Revlon’s One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer and I absolutely love it!
You can see my excitement in this video I shared on Insta-stories.
I was skeptical because I’m the kind of person who gets the brush stuck in their hair while trying to use a normal blow dryer. I LOVE this product and it made my hair look as if it was professionally blown out.
Favorite Family Outing
On President’s Day we took our boys to John F. Kennedy Library in Boston. If you live locally, it’s a wonderful glimpse into the life of John F. Kennedy from boyhood to his presidency. It really made such an impact on both our boys.
It’s a beautiful building designed by I.M. Pei and has beautiful views of Boston Harbor.
Favorite Earrings
My friend Claire creator of studioHannafin gifted me these gorgeous anemone earrings. I love the champagne hue!
I interviewed Claire the other week, you can check it out here.
Favorite Vaccuum
Our home always has some kind of mess somewhere, between the dogs and the boys. There’s dirt getting tracked in or crumbs spilling from mouths. I have a very heavy Dyson vacuum that I love but it doesn’t get in all the smaller space very easily. For Christmas my mom gifted us with the Dyson Cyclone V10 Motorhead.
This vacuum is unbelievable. It’s perfect to get up all the dust and dirt on the kitchen floor and pick up the dog hair on the stairs. It fits under our small island and under chairs and tight spaces. I also love how lightweight it is. It’s currently on sale, which is a bonus!
Favorite Documentaries
I love yoga but never knew the story behind Bikram yoga. I found the Netflix documentary – Bikram – Yogi Guru Predator. Fascinating to watch. You can see the trailer here and more on netflix here.
The Netflix series – Broken – this investigative docu-series shows how negligence and deceit in the production and marketing of popular consumer items. What is the cost of the items we buy? The first episode was on the multi-billion dollar beauty industry and the issue with knock-off products. We just watched the vaping episode with our boys. It was good for them to watch. You can see a trailer here.
Favorite Films
We just watched Knives Out and really enjoyed it. If you like a who-dun-it with twist and turns, I think you’ll enjoy this film. It has a great cast! Fun seeing Daniel Craig in this role. Here’s the trailer.
Favorite Snack
I can’t resist Cadbury Mini Eggs. I used them in my little DIY birds nests. Once the bag is open… I can never eat just one.
Well, I think that’s it for Friday Favorites. What are you guys loving right now?
Omg…I love Cadbury mini eggs…I call them “crack”…you can never have just one. It’s my favorite “go to” treat to bring to friends. Thanks for the great blog.
I’m having a love affair with soup right now!! With the cold, snowy weather soup warms me right up!
I spent the weekend skiing with a friend who I introduced to the Revlon round brush hair styler! It’s amazing slightly loud but the end result is worth it. She and I both have “hair”’as well! I just sent her your post with a LOL. My daughter is a hair stylist with a very expensive hair dryer and she occasionally steals my styling brush.
