Friday Favorites (54)
Happy Friday! Can you believe I missed Friday Favorites for March? Woo, it was such a busy, busy month with lots of family health issues going on but I’m relieved to share everyone is well and on the mend. You all love this series as much as I do so here are my favorites in no particular order!

Family Health
March was quite a month for our family with health issues. Without going into too many details, I urge all of you to make appointments with your primary care doctor and go for regularly scheduled physicals, colonoscopies, and mammograms. Luke, myself, and my sister all went to our regular check ups and scans and I believe this helped all of us avoid something more catastrophic. This isn’t to scare you but maybe just remind you if you’ve been putting doctors’ visits off.
Here’s a photo of my sister and me out for sushi in Ohio last month:

Favorite Books
I have so many good books to share with you! I’m linking to Amazon, but I got all of these books at Buttonwood Books (if you’re local).
A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young – super suspenseful and beautifully written. This story is about James and Johnny Golden, twins with almost a supernatural connection. James knows Johnny is dead before she even hears about his accident. I couldn’t put this one down as she unravels the past and secrets from the present to solve how Johnny died but also uncover town secrets. I also really loved The Unmaking of June Farrow and Spells for Forgetting also by Adrienne.
Someone Else’s Shoes by JoJo Moyes – I could see this book being turned into a film. It’s pretty light and I read it in a few days. It’s about two women whose lives are completely different and a pair of very expensive shoes. Nisha Cantor lives the high flying, globe-trotting life with designer clothes and accessories. Sam Kemp leads a normal if slightly down-trodden existence and is tired of her job where she’s unappreciated and feels neglected by her family. This all changes when Sam accidentally picks up Nisha’s gym bag. I also loved The Giver of Stars and Me Before You also by JoJo.
Jackie by Dawn Tripp – I’m currently reading this fictitious account of Jaqueline Kennedy Onassis’ life and finding it fascinating. I’ve read many biographies but I really feel like I’m watching her life unfold in front of me. Beautifully written. I had the pleasure of hearing Dawn speak about this book with Coffee with the Authors through Buttonwood Books last summer.
Favorite Day Trip
John was home on spring break and we went to the Member’s Preview of the new Van Gogh exhibit at the MFA. It was so lovely. We walked from the boat and enjoyed several hours at the museum along with a lovely lunch. Then stopped by the ICA and then took the boat home.

This exhibit centered on Van Gogh’s time in Arles and portraits he painted of one working class family. I was struck by the vibrant backgrounds and his brushstrokes.

Favorite Tinted Moisturizer
Moisturizer with SPF is really important to me and I love the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. I use fawn. My skin feels so soft all day after applying it and I love the added sun protection.
Favorite Shoes
I’m loving these ballet flats. I did a little review post if you missed it. I got them in classic black and love that they go with everything!

Favorite TV / Films
TV
White Lotus – On Max. We just watched season 3 of the White Lotus. Just a warning there’s sex and violence so it might not be your cup of tea. I loved seeing Thailand and thought it was very well-acted. There is lots of disturbing parts in the storylines though. I don’t want to give anything away if you want to watch it.
Ludwig – On BritBox. This is so well done! It’s set in England and a twin is posing as his brother to solve his disappearance. The brother happens to be a police officer. Great mix of comedy and British police drama.
With Love, Megan – On Netflix. I enjoy folding laundry and watching this show. It pairs Megan Sussex with various friends and they cook together and give entertaining tips. It is beautifully filmed and I really want to try the pasta recipe in the first episode.
Films
A Minecraft Movie – Luke and I went out to see this at the Reel Cinema in Scituate Harbor. We were surrounded by young Minecraft fans and it was so sweet. Jack Black is Steve and we really loved Jason Momoa, like you’ve never seen him before. A bit of fun.
Favorite Magazine
The issue of What Women Create is on newsstands now and I’m so honored to be featured in it. I gave you a behind the scenes look at the photoshoot. Loved learning more about all the artists featured.

Favorite Flowers
Hooray for pansies! I just bought trays and trays of them at R&C Farms in Scituate and have planted them outside and inside. Many people were asking if it was okay to plant them now due to freezing conditions. R&C Farms hardens their pansies so they’ve been pre-frozen.

I’ll be sharing more about my pansies in a post, hopefully next week.
Favorite New Products
We launched a selection of mini note cards and they are the perfect size to hold gift cards for Easter, teacher gifts, or graduation presents. See them all the mini note cards here.
