Gift Smart and The Magic of Christmas
This is a sponsored post. I partnered with RadioShack for their gift smart campaign. They have such fun and interactive gifts for the upcoming holidays. I’m happy to share them with you!
Do you realize Christmas is only a few weeks away?!? I have been thinking for a quite a while about the type of gifts I want to get our little boys. At ages 8 and 5 they are interested in more technical gifts. It may be that their daddy is a software engineer or they see me on the computer A LOT for the blog but they are drawn to little gadgets and things that make them think in a technical way.
I knew the gifts at RadioShack would be perfect for them and help me #giftsmart! RadioShack sent me two gifts. If you follow me on instagram then you might have seen this picture:
Who can resist a big, red bow and HUGE box? Conor kept trying to open it. I told him that I needed to wrap them up and place them under the tree.
The boys were sooooooo excited to tear open these gifts.
Opening the gifts took no time at all and look at the excitement!
The playing lasted hours and hours. We had hoped to take the Surveyor Drone to the beach but it snowed… So we played with it in the house instead.
The helicopter lights up and flies and also has a camera to record and take photos. You need a micro SD card to use with it.
Conor got the littleBits Synth Kit. This toy is AMAZING. I was transported to the 80s and beat boxes.
Conor loves anything little pieces.
littleBits is an exclusive brand to RadioShack. They have all different kits to allow kids to make circuits and learn how electricity works.
littleBits comes with an extensive how to – so you can create projects but the kids also loved making up their own sounds.
Pulling apart blocks and putting them together.
They even made the sound of the ocean waves which you know I loved!
As I write this, they are back at it with the littleBits. We will definitely be adding to this kit this Christmas.
Other items I thought you might like from RadioShack are:
littleBits * Fitbit Flex * Lipstick Portable Power Bank
Wood headphones with mic * Sphero 2.0 * littleBits Cloud Bit
I think you’ll find so many gifts on your list at RadioShack. To find a store near you click here. They are are doing price matching and ship 4 free if a store is out of stock.
If you are also a child of the 80s then I have to share this video with Weird Al. I laugh every time I watch it:
Disclosure: I received two gifts and compensation from RadioShack to review their products.
what fun!!!!! your kids are getting so big too!
K I LOVE those gifts! Especially the drone helicopter that takes pictures and records…. what?!? You will have to let me know how durable it is. I’ve bought helicopters 3 times for Owen and he always breaks them in less than a week, not even from what I would consider “lots of use”. It just randomly runs into something and a piece breaks and that’s it! It’s pretty sad. That Weird Al commercial at the end is pretty funny too… Also, I loved that pic of John smiling so big while holding the gift… it looks the the quintessential Christmas… Read more »
What fun gift ideas! Love the little helicopter!
Great photos of your kids by the tree, Danielle! Love that Little Bits toy!
Those are sooo cool. My boys would love them. I love your kiddies’ happy faces. Adorable. Thank you for the idea.
How fun! My husband would love this too!
Wow, so cool! My son would love these too!!
Hugs, Jamie
Looks like Christmas came early at Chez Finding Silver Pennies – I bet the boys were thrilled!
Christmas came early for my nephews, too. I made them a homemade Advent Calendar, with a small toy for each day – they always love it.
Hope you’re well, Danielle.
