Halloween in the Harbor 2014
We had a fabulous, fabulous Halloween!
Did you?!?
I promised yesterday that I’d share a few (or maybe more than a few) pictures of trick or treating in the harbor.
We snapped a few before we left to trick or treat. The boys were so excited. Conor woke me up at 5am to tell me we hadn’t carved a pumpkin yet.
Oh, well. We ran out of time this year but still had a brilliant day!
It was hard to get them to sit still long enough for a photo (as they were so excited).
And off to the Harbor to Trick or Treat:
A ninja and a knight on a mission…
Not even noticing this witch or giant spider in their quest for candy.
We arrived at the Front Street at 4pm just when trick or treating started and it was relatively quiet. The street ended up looking like this when we left:
Everyone (young and old) LOVES this day in our seaside town. Thanks to the merchants for putting on such a great party and to our town for blocking off the street!
Here are some highlights!
Ingenious use of boxes:
(if you look close enough you can see my mom in the background).
We love this holiday and it brings back so many childhood memories for me.
There were some scary sites:
Sweet sights:
Who doesn’t love George and the Man in the Yellow hat?!?
The gang at Galley –
Being charmed by our knight in shining armor!
Little dogs in costumes:
Amazing make up –
BUT nothing put Conor (my stealth ninja) and John off their quest for candy. We have a bowl full.
As I type this we’re all curled up on the couch watching Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. I hope you all had a brilliant Halloween, too!
looks awesome! the man in the yellow hat is my favorite. 🙂
What a wonderful family event! I keep telling my husband we’re moving to Scituate!
