Harvest Watercolors (Free Printables)
For the past week it has felt like summer weather here in New England with high temperatures and high humidity but the past few days the morning air has been crisp and the leaves are turning colors. I love this time of year because we pick apples with the kids and enjoy autumns’ harvest. This year we’re growing carrots, onions and leeks – perfect for fall harvest! I’m excited to share three harvest watercolor free printables with you today!
My sweet friend, Kristen, over at Ella Claire organizes a free printable tour with each season and today a group of bloggers are sharing some vignettes and free printables for you to decorate your own home with something we’ve made. I really love these tours because I love seeing all the creativity but I also love that it challenges me.
If you read this post, then you know how much I enjoy watercolor. I am by no means an expert but it is something I love.
There’s something about watching the paint, water and the paper mingle on the paper that is so special. I enjoy that process.
This paper here with the pumpkin is more textured and I LOVE how you can really see that texture in the pumpkin:
Here’s a fun fact about me. Um, I don’t like orange. Isn’t that funny? If you look in my home I don’t have ANY orange but I think this year I’m warming up to this color as it goes so well with blue. I actually make myself paint orange in watercolor class though 😉 In our house we love pumpkin everything and my oldest son loves his carrots!
I created a few pretty printables with the watercolors with pretty sayings:
“Pumpkin Spice Everything Nice”
“The Best Time for New Beginnings is Autumn”
“To forget how to dig the earth and to tend the soil, is to forget ourselves.”
For the small vignette above I used the farmhouse cabinet I shared yesterday. A printer’s tray, which has lovely patina, acts as a backdrop and I cut my printables according to size. I decided to just have the quote on the pumpkin and have the plain carrot and radish watercolor hanging. Mounting putty was used to attach these and I decorated simply with seasonal flowers and some vintage spools I found out antiquing. I also added some feathers. Below you can see the vignette with just the watercolors and no text.

Please note these printables are for personal use only. Please do not reproduce to sell.
If you enjoyed these printables you might also like these other seasonal ones I created: Blue Jay Watercolor, Cardinal Watercolor, Thanksgiving Printable and a fall banner. These Jane Austen Free Printables were also popular.

Well aren’t you the talented lady with a son who loves carrots. How did you manage that? At least he’ll eat a veggie that’s good for him, how about your little guy? Sounds like you’re having good weather leading up to Fall. Has cooled down here somewhat after pretty hot summer. Do you paint watercolors often? You do lovely work. Thanks for sharing your pictures you painted. Have lovely rest of week and weekend Sorry I didn’t read other posts you sent. Had pretty rough summer. Our grandson died of cancer on June 8th.
