Highlights from the Holiday Preview & Book Signing

What a magical and festive night we had at the Holiday Preview and Tinkered Treasures Book Signing at the Sea Rose Cottage:

That’s me, of course, on the left, Elyse in the center and Nancy on the right!

I so wish you all could have been there for it was such a magical evening full of laughter, merriment and, tinkering (of course)!

Oh, and I just have to mention Elyse’s book before we get too much further along.  It is gorgeous to look at – filled with the most beautiful images and soft color palette.

It truly is a perfect gift to give anyone who loves to craft.  The images are so beautiful and so are the little crafts.  I spent part of Sunday making little people out of wooden spools and clothes pins with my boys.  John made one of Poppy and one of me while Conor did Superman and Han Solo.  As I finish this post up this morning they are making clothes pin pirates.

All inspired by the creations and beautiful heart of Elyse, who made me this:

That’s me in miniature!  How cute and sweet of Elyse to make her for me?!?

So back to the event, come on in and see what fun we had:

Nancy’s shop looked so Christmas-y!

Elyse & I are both a little (okay a lot) in love with that mantel.  How pretty, right?

and we all loved creating treasures with Elyse.

These little girls were so sweet with the dolls they created:

The shop was filled with people – crafting, sipping and chatting.

I also had the pleasure of catching up with Rebecca who I met at my Open Studio.

My driftwood trees sold out and so did the sailboats.  I have a few wreaths and german glitter glass ornaments left along with notecards, hand-painted coaster sets and gift tags.  Let me know if you’re interested in any of the above.

It truly was a magical night and a wonderful start to the holidays, but my time in Bristol didn’t end there.  I had the most wonderful stay at the award winning Bristol House B & B.  Kathleen, the proprietor, made me the most delicious breakfast.  This blackberry and pumpkin granola parfait was fabulous:

As was this cinnamon raisin challah french toast –

I missed my boys but had a wonderful night with the girls and restful and very filling stay at the B & B.  Looking forward to my next trip to the Sea Rose Cottage and Bristol, RI.

A magical and inspiring way to start the holiday season!

It was a magical night and you captured the spirit of it all with your beautiful photographs. Thanks so much for joining in the fun! It was great to have you and Elyse at Sea Rose Cottage on this very special night. All your handmade items were such a hit. I’m glad I was able to scoop up the last driftwood tree. It will be the star of the show on our mantel.
