Holiday Gift Guide

Take the guess work and struggle out of holiday shopping with our holiday gift guide. There’s something for everyone on this comprehensive list.

I go back and forth about doing gift guides. I think gift giving is so personal but there are also things we really love as a family and gifts that my husband and kids have loved that I thought I’d share with you. This is a big, long gift guide as I wanted to cover EVERYONE. I also realize it’s pretty early to be posting this BUT with all the supply chain issues and shipping delays I thought it’s best to share it now and then we can all relax and enjoy the merriment of the holiday season! I plan on updating this gift guide each year!

For those of you who only want to shop small or artist led businesses, I will be doing another gift guide next week to highlight a few of my favorite local shops and artists.

Gifts for Everyone

This guide is broken down into several sections. Here’s who we’re shopping for. Simply click the image or link button.

  • The whole family – bigger gifts that the whole family might enjoy
  • For Him – guys can sometimes be hard to shop for. This section will give some ideas!
  • For Her – of course, I’m including some of my all time favorites here!
  • For Teens / Tweens – My kids are 15 and 12. These are things they love.

Since I no longer have toddlers or little kids I’m not including these gift ideas. I’m not aware of the must haves for this age group.

Let’s start holiday shopping!

Gifts for the Whole Family

These are bigger presents, and usually more expensive, that the WHOLE family will enjoy!

Fire Pit

We have a slightly bigger version they no longer make and it’s perfect for all seasons. We’ve enjoyed many evenings or afternoons around the fire. Marshmallows are ready in seconds! I shared more about our fire pit here. It was a wonderful gift for the whole family. These are currently in stock and ready to ship.

I would highly recommend grabbing these accessories to go with your new fire pit.

Outdoor Movie Inflatable Screen

I’ve lost track how many times we’ve pulled this screen out. You can see our full outdoor movie night kit here. It’s wonderful and so much fun. We’ve done movie nights just the four of us, the neighborhood and for friends!

Pool Basketball

We added this to our pool area for good report cards. Our kids loved it but so did all their friends and the grown ups, too!

Frame TV

This Frame TV is AMAZING and it’s still on my wish list. I dream of getting this for our living room. I love that it is a regular TV but you can have artwork displayed when the TV is off. Isn’t that awesome!

Gifts for Him

Men can be so hard to buy for. Am I right?!? Here are a few of Luke’s absolute favorites.

Bluetooth Speaker

We take this on the go with us! It’s perfect in the yard, by the pool, on a trip or down in the basement while Luke does woodworking.

An Heirloom Decanter

My husband loves a good glass of whiskey in the evening. This beautiful decanter has a classic look and will look gorgeous on a bar cart or in a dining room.

Matching Glasses

You can’t give a decanter without glasses right?!?

Lodge Cast Iron

It was my hubby who first introduced me to the magic of cast iron during our Uni days at Bristol!!

Eco Friendly Swim Shorts

These swimsuits are not only comfy and beautiful but they are also Eco Friendly – the trunks are made from recycled bottles to help save our oceans. I know they are pricey but they really stand up to constant use and washing in the summer. No fading or fraying. All my guys love the swim shorts!

Bean Boots

A New England classic and perfect for shoveling out our latest Nor’easter / Blizzard or walking to the harbor in the snow!

Camp Slippers

My husband loves these for camp slippers and also wears them out in our yard!

Portable Camp Stove

Each year my husband camps with his friends and this was a game changer! Perfect for the guys who love to camp!

Gifts for Her

In this section, I’m sharing ALL of my favorite things! Let me know if you agree with these choices. Some of these are actually on my Christmas Wish List (including the cozy LL Bean PJs).

Comfy PJs

Is there anything more luxurious than soft PJs. It’s one of the things I never buy myself and love receiving as a gift.

Initial Necklace

This necklace was a gift from my mom and I wear it every day. It’s really so special!

Perfect Yoga Pants

These are my favorites! They don’t sag at the knee, the don’t roll down, and they don’t fade. I realize they’re not cheap but sometimes it’s just worth getting the really good yoga pants.

T Shirt Bra

Another favorite of mine! I swear by Third Love Bras. My favorite is the T Shirt Bra but I have a few others. These really stand up and offer great support and comfort.

Ninja Coffee Maker

Everyone knows I need my coffee first thing and that goes for Christmas morning, too. We gave this to eachother for Christmas last year and LOVE it. Makes great coffee and can also do ice coffee or single cups!

Beach Bag

The classic New England tote. This bag goes from beach to boat to shops effortlessly!

Vintage Crew-Neck Sweatshirt

I’m usually at home sipping coffee in this sweatshirt painting watercolors. I love sweatshirts and cashmere sweaters in winter.

Longchamp Le Pliage Shoulder Bag

This is the bag I carry every day. It holds everything and is comfortable.

Ugg Slippers

These are the most comfortable and warm slippers!

Gifts for Teens / Tweens

I’m so so so sad that I don’t have little kids who are happy with plastic kitchen food and board games and board books. Each year it seems they want less and less so I’m rounding up some fun and different ideas for this age group. The first gift is actually an advent calendar so that is a pre-Christmas gift!

Lego Advent Calendar

Last year I made the mistake of doing something different and both boys, wanted to know where the Lego advent calendar is. They do all different ones – Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lego City and Lego Friends. They boys love opening the doors each day.

Polaroid Camera

Polaroids are back! Our kids love taking their polaroids out to hang with friends or on vacation. It really does feel magic to watch the photo develop before your eyes!

Polaroid Film

Don’t forget the film!

Wicked Cozy Blanket

The name of this blanket says it all! Conor got this blanket at LL Bean up in Maine and I think we need more in the house. It’s the softest comfiest blanket, perfect for snuggling up in winter.

Deluxe Scrabble / Monopoly

We’re big fans of the classics in our house and that includes classic games. I love this set from LL Bean because it’s two family favorites in one and you can personalize it!

Match Dad Swim Shorts

Kids always like to match their dad. I love that Fair Harbor do kids’ sized suits so boys can match their daddy. Conor and Luke have a bunch of coordinating swim shorts.

Kids Ugg Slippers

Kids always like to match their parents! These slippers are so adorable but are also so cozy for winter.

Maine Breakfast

My boys, especially Conor, loves pancakes. Why not make it easy with help from Stonewall Kitchen for the holidays?

Ninja Air Fryer

We gave this to Conor for his birthday and we all love it. We can roast, fry and air dry in a healthy way.

Bluetooth Speaker

This speaker is great and enables kids to take their music on the go with friends!

Hydro Flask

My kids swear by these insulated water bottles. They love them for school and hiking.

I will also add that I love buying books as gifts but I plan on getting all our books at Buttonwood Books, our local bookstore!

I hope you enjoyed this gift guide and it’s given you some ideas for your holiday shopping. Now that we’ve finished our shopping you may need some gift tags. Click here to download these sweet trees from last year:

YES!!! Please, I will take one of each of the ladies gifts!!!
I had a a bit of a laugh on the “decanter”…..” gorgeous on a bar car” ..lololo maybe “cart” OR that is common in MA????
I just picked up a decanter very similar to that one. I am using it on my bath counter top, I filled with mouth wash!!! I got sick of seeing the bottle with label and too lazy to put in the cabinet after use! It looks great there.
I too, LOVE and use all my vintage cast iron…it is the best!!!
