Snow makes everything feel more magical, especially when it’s big fluffy flakes. Why not celebrate such a special day with fresh made ice cream?

It started snowing early yesterday morning and Conor decided we NEEDED to make ice cream with snow. He put out metal bowls and pans and my mixing bowl to collect fresh fallen snow.

Warning! The snow melts fast so you’ll need to be quick enjoying this snow day treat.

It’s definately icier than normal ice cream or gelato, but it isn’t too sweet. You can always put less sugar in if you find it’s too much.

We actually loved the snow ice cream so much, we made more to have with brownies and the Super Bowl last night.

Oh, and our metal bowls are from Magnolia’s Hearth and Hand collection at Target. They don’t have any in stock right now but I’m sure they will this spring / summer.

Save this recipe for your next snow day! It will make it even more magical.
