Inspiring Spaces: Veronica Lane
Do you love the Shabby Chic look? Gauzy curtains? Frilly pillows? Hand painted furniture? Chippy paint? Crowns and wings?
If the answer to all those questions is, yes, then you will love the images I’m sharing in today’s post.
Welcome to Veronica Lane!
This gorgeous shop recently opened in Hanover, MA and offers one stop shopping from gift, to furniture, to Chalk Paint® and hardware. You will see a few of my pieces in the space (including here on the front porch).
My friend, Lauren Marrocco, owns this beautiful space. She decided to open up on the South Shore after running Madden Blue successfully for three years.
It is styled beautifully for fall.
Shall we go inside?
I adore these coastal water color paintings that line the stairway. These are painted by a local artist and are for sale.
Everywhere you look there is something pretty and pleasing to see. Soft, blues, grays, and whites cover furniture and brass and crystal shimmer in the sunlight. You can’t get this from the photos but the space smells amazing. I love the fragrance of all the Aunt Sadie’s Candles.
If you’re a DIYer, Lauren has plenty of Chalk Paint® and beautiful hardware to customize your creations.
She also has kits for creating a washed effect on your fireplace. How brilliant is that!
If you’ve never painted furniture, or if you want to hone your skills, Veronica Lane offers classes out here on the porch:
The space is really so inspiring.
Signs, glass bottles, lightly distressed furniture all work together to create a lovely look. When I visit I feel as though I can slow down because this space is just so enjoyable to be in.
I have a crush on this clock:
And these knobs:
This door is amazing! You’d think it was authentic and chippy but it was created by Michelle (who shares the space, her business is Designs by Michelle and she does custom Chalk Paint® kitchens).
Here take a closer look:
Amazing, right?
My heart is happy by all the blues and the easy coastal style.
I actually bought this pillow for my mom as part of her birthday gift. Isn’t it gorgeous? It’s a reproduction of a French oil painting.
My mom loved it and it is perfect on her leather couch. 🙂
There is something for girls of all ages.
If you read the blog often then you might just recognize this mirror. It used to be in our bedroom:
If you’re local, I hope you get a chance to meet Lauren and visit her beautiful shop, Veronica Lane. Be sure to tell her I sent you 🙂

gorgeous space and pieces! i love that grainsack buffet!
Don’t mean to be unpleasant, but I grew up in Mass and recognize some of those Victorian pieces that fit into a classic decorating style. It’s sad to see them with a partial coat of white hastily slapped on. Or some nice later pieces coated with one color, wood and hardware the same. Younger people seem not to respect a well made piece of old furniture…at all….. But that’s modern life and my grandchildren wouldn’t recognize a well made old piece as of any value in its original state, either. The fad will change in a couple of years and… Read more »
I am drooling! Ready to jump in my car and visit her shop right this instant. Only one problem…I live in NJ
What a beautiful space. I wish I lived in your area so I could go shopping.
