Introducing the California Collection
A collection of our favorite images and memories of California. Introducing the California Collection.
I’m beyond excited to share this news with you today!
For 42 years visiting California was a dream.
I longed to see the Pacific, to taste wine in Sonoma County, to visit the backlots and see the Walk of Fame.
In July 2019 we drove 800 miles from San Diego up to Calistoga with our boys. It was quite an adventure and I shared it on the blog here. This was our last family vacation together.
This year, stuck in our home, got me thinking about this trip and wanting to incorporate the beautiful sights we saw into our home.
What is more magical than the Pacific Ocean, right?
This is the Avila Beach (30″x20″):

Bring a little California sunshine into your home!
Hi Danielle
What a wonderful set of photos, yes the coastline is so dramatic. We actually drove it the other way from Seattle down to L.A. over a 3 week period. The only reason we drove it that way was after talking to a couple of your fellow countrymen on holiday they suggested going North to South then we would have uninterrupted views of the ocean without other cars in the way.
Hi Susan, Your trip sounds lovely and, yes, I would see why that was recommended. We wanted to spend extra time in Wine Country at the end of our trip to catch up with friends so that’s why we went the way we did. Hoping we can all travel again soon xx
These are beautiful prints! I moved to San Diego from Wisconsin. There is definitely something magical about California! 🙂
I live in California and know most of these places quite well! You took such beautiful pictures! Thank you for spotlighting my wonderful state!
You live in a beautiful state! We really enjoyed our time there and hoping to go back when we can travel again. There’s still so much we want to see. Any recommendations for our next trip?
It’s taken me a few days to come up with some special places for you to visit here in California. There are so many!! Of course, Disneyland is the greatest amusement park for a family. They just treat you so well! If you are looking for more of a nature place, Yosemite is awesome! The hotels in the park are beautiful, but they can be hard to get reservations. Bass Lake is about 45 mins. below the entrance gate and has Ducey’s Lodge hotel or chalets you can rent. My family loves Bass Lake and we go every year! If… Read more »
Ooooh, thank you for such a detailed comment! Bass Lake sounds wonderful. Will remember all of this for our next trip to CA! Thank you xx Will def. look you up if we stop in Hanford, too 😉
