Keto Trail Mix
Trail mix is delicious but can be loaded with extra sugars your body doesn’t need. If you’re following Keto you need to try this easy recipe at home.
My husband goes camping with his friends every fall. This fall was no exception. He’s been trying to stick to a low carb, low sugar diet. We had success with Keto and he really wanted to keep it up even while he was hiking through the White Mountains.
We decided to make our own Keto Trail Mix rather than purchasing some that has tons of extra sugar.
This was so easy and only has three ingredients and your probably have some of them already in your cupboards.

The key is this sugar free chocolate that you can buy from Amazon and Trader Joe’s!
You would never know this was sugar free. I thought it was the real thing.
Keto Trail Mix
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Salted Almonds
- 1 Cup Macadamia Nuts
- 1 Cup Sugar Free Chocolate
Method
We purchased the nuts and Trader Joe’s.
In a large bowl combine the nuts and the chocolate.
Conor and Luke broke the chocolate up into smaller pieces.
I’m so glad we found out about this chocolate because now we can do some sweet treats without the guilt.
Luke mixed up several batches and put them in separate batches to take on his hike. He told me they were delicious and they gave him the energy boost he needed while hiking with the guys.
Thought you guys might like to see a photo he took while up in New Hampshire:
I hope you’ll try this Trail Mix.

Thanks it sounds like a wonderful treat. I could have used it last week when i went on my trip to Albuquerque for their balloon festival. I love treats like this.
That sounds wonderful!
May I also recommend Lily’s brand chocolate – they have tons of great flavors in bar form as well as baking chips. Made with Stevia instead of maltitol for those like myself that have digestive discomfort from maltitol. I’m able to purchase at my local grocery store but I’m sure they carry at Amazon too!
Thank you for letting me know about this. We will look for that chocolate.
