Merry Christmas!
Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and so much joy over the holiday.
I’m sitting here with loads of presents still to wrap, a warm cup of tea, and Michael Bubble crooning on the radio.
I wanted to take the time to thank each and everyone of you for stopping by the blog this year. It is my hope you found encouragement, inspiration, pretty photos of our coastal town and decor, some fun recipes, and a safe space to reflect on life.
2020 has been….
hard.
long.
tiring.
made us all realize –

2020 made realize – life is a gift. Each and every moment we have is so special. It’s important to tell your family and friends how much they mean to you. It’s important to live your life to the fullest. To laugh big belly laughs and to cry (those big ugly cries) when you need to!
With all this in mind, I’m taking some time off to spend with my guys, my dogs, and my mom.
The plan is for lots of sledding and playing in the snow. Lots of long walks. Cooking and baking together and sleeping in. We also hope to catch up on reading, painting, and making progress in our bedroom and John’s bedroom. Phew. That’s a long list!!! One day I’ve decided we NEED to spend in our jammies and just relax snuggled on the couch.
I’m sure you all can relate.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my posts and leave such lovely comments. It means the world to me. I have lots planned for 2021 and am so excited to share everything once I’ve had a bit of a break.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our our little family! We’ll see you in 2021 xx

Thank you, Judy. I feel so blessed to have this little family but can’t quite believe how quickly John and Conor are growing up. They were very little when I started the blog 9.5 years ago. Where did the time go?!? Wishing you and your boys a wonderful Christmas xx
Thank you for posting this year! Yours is one of the few blocks I still read that makes me happy just to look at the pictures. Your home looks beautiful. I hope you’re able to relax and enjoy life this holiday. I think we all need it. Stay safe everyone!
Aw, thank you, Teresa. This means so much. The plan is for some R&R over the holidays so I can come up with more ideas to share in the New Year. This year has me feeling a bit empty and sad but I know there’s so much light at the end of the tunnel. We just have to get there. Happy holidays xx
Thanks for the photo of your beautiful family! It helps so much to have faces in my mind when reading your blog. It makes me want to continue reading if I can feel a connection to real people!
Glad you like the family photo. The only one missing is Poppy. She was still outside. She just loves being out in the yard. Thank you for your kind words. Wishing you a lovely holiday xx
