Metallic Pumpkins

I partnered with Fusion Mineral Paint for this post.

You may have noticed my metallic pumpkins in our dining room from our home tour.

Fusion Mineral Paint Metalics on Pumpkins

Copper Pumpkin

I’m seriously loving metallics right now. Are you?

If so, Fusion Mineral Paint has some brand new metallic paints created with my good friend Matthew Mead.  They are gorgeous.

So I wanted to bring some shimmer and shake to faux pumpkins from Michaels.  These pumpkins were pretty sad to say the least.

Faux Pumpkins and Mineral Paint

See what I mean?

All I did was apply two coats of Fusion’s metallic paint.  I used pearl on this pumpkin:

Want to create this look in your home?  Here’s how:

Metallic Pumpkins

  • Matthew Mead Studio’s Fusion Metallics in Bronze, Brushed Steel and Pearl
  • Fusion Tinting Kit in Copper
  • Faux or real pumpkins (I got mine at Michaels)
  • Paint brushes

Metallic Pumpkins Step by Step

Simply stir you’re paint and brush on. Let dry between coats.  I did two coats on these.  Some of the pumpkins I bought bleed (because they were super cheap).

I love how these metallics have added a hint of glamour to our dining room.

The copper pumpkin was created with the Fusion Mineral Tinting Kit in Copper, I had some down in the basement but the other colors are in the Matthew Mead Metallic line. These new metallic paints come in larger clear containers (250 mL), show no brush strokes and are at a better price point than the tinting kit.

Ready to celebrate fall in the Dining Room

I’m loving these sophisticated pumpkins in our home!

I actually have an idea for furniture with this paint and I’m really, really excited about that.  Can’t wait to share more.

This is a wonderful post to reference the new Fusion metallic colors. Not to mention you’ve now got some cute gourds.
