Some of you guys have already seen this as I’ve had a number of emails and comments but our home is on Houzz! It certainly is a pinch me moment! I almost fell off my chair when I received the email from Faith saying she’d like to come photograph our home. Our home has been featured a few times in print and online and each time is such an honor.
This is the first tme our family (of now 6) has been captured in a photograph! I love this!
So let me back up a bit. October was probably the craziest month for me. It seemed like EVERYTHING was happening here. We got a new car, Luke had unexpected surgery, I did a painting demo at Adams Farm, taught at the General Finishes Flippin’ Furniture Expo, and we adopted a puppy – Max! Well, I got Faith’s email in all this busy-ness. But we like being busy. I will tell you trying to tidy our house up with a new puppy wasn’t easy. I was still cleaning when Faith arrived at our front door. Sigh.
Even though I share pretty pictures on our blog, often times our home is messy and chaotic. The boys almost never clean up and often toys and everything else ends up on the counters, in the living room etc. So I became a crazy cleaning lady.
I am so delighted with how the pictures came out. Faith writes the lovely blog
Design Fixation and also contributes to Houzz. She really captured our home how it is, and what we love about it.
She also was able to photograph some really beautiful angles of our home that hasn’t been seen here on the blog.
For example, this one of our half bathroom and the kitchen:
The baby gates came down for this post and I’m trying to keep the bathroom door shut because Max loves playing with the toilet paper. It is so much fun!
You can really see just how long our living room is in this photo:
I often don’t show the playroom which is right though the french doors. Why don’t I show it? Well, it’s always in a state of “play”. I always think it’s just too messy to photograph. The boys, knowing this was important, tidied up. This is as tidy as it gets 😉
I know I haven’t shared it here yet, but I’m almost ready to “reveal” the office makeover. Here’s a peek from the shoot:
You guys have been waiting so patiently to see this room! Sorry for the delay.
She captured so many gorgeous images of our home and really gave a glimpse of the true essence of our life and how we enjoy our home. People have left the loveliest comments too. I would love if you have a minute to pop over to read the article and more about us and our home – click
