I really love pansies. I love how delicate and colorful they are. For my spring planters, I wanted to use this flower. I chose a small variety in light and deep purple with a hint of yellow to tie in with my spring wreath:
These little planters were so easy. I already had the containers. I got them at Target last year, they were by Smith and Hawken. The pansies I picked up from Home Depot and my mom brought the pussy willows on Easter.
John and Conor helped me plant the pansies:
I thought that pussy willows with there sweet little silvery puffs would add something soft and little different:
So I got out the pussy willows, twine and my secateurs.
I put four branches around the outside of the pansies and then a bunch inside and joined with a bow of twine. I’m really happy with how they came out and the best part was it only took me about five minutes.
Making raised beds! We definitely had dirt under our fingernails last night! The tub water was not pretty after the boys’ bath. There is something so invigorating…
Cute 🙂 I can’t wait to get started on some spring planting in my pots!
