Scary Spooky Skeletons

Fun ways to add skeletons in outdoor halloween decor. I can’t wait to hear what you think about our scary spooky skeletons!

You guys all know how much we love Halloween here. The air is becoming crisp here in Scituate and Halloween is next weekend! Eeeek! We’re pretty excited here. We just started adding some very simple decorations this year – lots of skeletons!

Adding Skeletons to Outdoor Decor

Skeleton sitting on Adirondack chair

Meet Billy! Conor found him at Target the other weekend. He’s been in Conor’s room but we all thought Billy would enjoy the cool salt air in one of our Adirondacks. It seems Billy is a dog lover, like us!

To add to the mood we added few things we already had – a lit pumpkin lantern. a faux white pumpkin, orange sunglasses (they’re Conor’s) and a Moscow mule cup.

Billy’s ready to party!

We couldn’t just stop at one skeleton, though, could we?

We’ve added two more. Can you see them?

I added one into our vintage urn planters:

and the other skeletons on the front door:

I know it’s super simple this year if you compare it to year’s past, especially our witch entry.

More on Halloween Skeletons

Where to find skeletons:

Many places have skeletons in all different sizes. Our skeletons all came from Target but there are so many stores that are carrying them including Home Depot, Grandin Rod, Home Depot and more! Here’s a round up of skeletons, including the ones we used.

Posable Skeletons

These are much easier to position to create fun vignettes.

Skeletons are fun inside and out!

We’ve used skeletons inside and out. Each year they stand up so well even in rain and cold. So they may be an investment but they are a decoration that can be used year after year.

Here’s an example of the skeletons inside in previous years:

Well, I hope you enjoyed meeting Billy! What should we name the dog?

Oh, and if you’re looking for more Halloween ideas you can read more in this post I shared the other week.

Cute set up.
Buster would be a good name. Or maybe Bonesy.

Happy haunting!
