Small Business Saturday is upon us and we’re excited to support our local shops. We’d love you to shop small with us!

Today is Small Business Saturday. You guys are familiar with my blog projects and free printables but I also run a small online shop with my son. This year has been, and continues to be, an amazing year for us!
Painting watercolors makes me so very happy. I’m trying to incorporate more and more tutorials for you, dear reader! If you missed any so far you can see them here. I have some fun ones planned for this month – think snowy trees and painted bookmarks! If there are any tutorials you’d like please let me know. I believe we are all creative, even if right now you don’t think you are!
For over a year now this blog has been ad free. I made this decision because I struggled with the balance of ad revenue and the ads becoming distracting to the user experience. The only way I make money is by selling my artwork and stationery or through affiliate links I share of products or items in our home. We sell our stationery and products in several local shops and have taken part in art shows and fairs this year. We’ve added new product lines like our 2022 calendar which I collaborated with my husband on. He makes the wooden stands. We also added notepads this year! I’m working on some really exciting things and am hoping to stretch our offering to more home goods and hopefully a book (fingers crossed).

2022 Desk Calendar
These have been so popular and make great gifts – for teachers, teens, parents.
Watercolor Notepads
Pretty enough to keep on your desk or give as a gift! They make fun hostess gifts when paired with a bottle of wine or some chocolates. We plan on adding to this collection in 2022.
Holiday Collection
Pretty whimsical snow globes are perfect for holiday cards.
Sea Bird Collection
A fun collection of sea birds created by my son John. These are great if you live by the sea or just love the birds that do!
The California Collection
My favorite photographs from our California adventure. These are available as prints or in handmade frames.
These are just some of the items we added to the online shop this year. It doesn’t include all the new note cards and all of John’s pins, stickers, and prints.

I am so grateful to each and every one of you who reads the blog each week. Some of you have been reading for years now. Your support means so much to me and my whole family. I would never have discovered my love for writing, for photography, and watercolor without you.
I’m so grateful that I have the opportunity to share our life in Scituate with you and that your getting to see our children grow up and grow into young adults, whom I’m very proud of.
Creating art, trying new things, sharing mistakes. It’s all a process and it isn’t easy but I think I get better with each attempt. Thank you for helping me on that route.
Scituate Open Studio
Finally, I wanted to invite local readers to Scituate Open Studio. It will be happening Friday, December 3rd from 2-7pm. 16 artists will be open their studios across town to the public and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Scituate Community Christmas. I will be hosting our open studio at our home. I hope you can stop by! If you’d like all the locations send me an email and I’ll send you a list of all the addresses. This will be the last even we’re taking part in this year. We plan on doing a spring Open Studio at our home and taking part in a few art fairs later in 2022.
