Small Acts of Kindness

via pinterest

Have you ever noticed it is these small acts of kindess that mean the very most?  They always seem to come when you need a bit of cheering up or a bit of encouragement.

My youngest little guy offered me this friendship bracelet a few weeks back:

Conor’s friendship bracelet

It is not expensive.  It doesn’t have diamonds or even rhinestones!  It a piece of elastic with colored plastic flowers (I don’t even know where he found it) but I have to tell you I love this bracelet even more than the expensive ones in my jewelry box.  I have not taken it off.  He notices that I’m wearing it and beams with pride.  I tell him each day how much I love the bracelet he gave me.

A small act of kindess might be found in an offer of shelter from friends during a storm.

Or in a bunch of spring flowers:

Perhaps, a small act of kindess was behind that bowl of mussels, glass of wine and conversation:

Moules & Frites

or in a loving embrace:

Getting a hug from John!

These small acts of kindess are just a few that have been given to me over the past couple of weeks.  I hope that others have received some (unknowingly from me).

What about you?  Have you been the recipient or giver of any small acts of kindess?  Would love to hear them here!

What a sweet post, Danielle ~ the photo with your little guy is adorable! I still have a necklace made from pasta hanging with all my other jewels! 🙂

Oh my goodness Danielle, a couple of weeks ago I came home and my men had cleaned the house for me; really well, too. It was such an “act of kindness” I’m still reliving it in my mind, ha!!

Danielle,
This post brought a tear to my eye, as I know the love between mother and son. What a sweet thing for your son to do by giving you this bracelet. I can see why you never take it off. Bless the little children. We all should all be more like them. What a lovely picture of you and him. This bracelet is truly a treasure.
