Spring Cleaning with Home Made Simple
Spring is here and it has me in the mood to clean and declutter. I’m excited to share spring cleaning with Home Made Simple.
What if I told you that you could clean your home with plant based products AND they actually work?!?
Well, today I’m going to tell you just that. I found these wonderful products and can’t wait to share them with all of you at home!
This post is sponsored by Home Made Simple. I received products and compensation for this post but all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own. Home Made Simple is available at Walmart.
I started using Home Made Simple last week and love them for our family. As you guys know we have two boys (both extremely messy) and two dogs. It can often feel like I’m constantly cleaning. Well, I guess I pretty much am!
As they get bigger the messes get bigger, too.
Aw, isn’t that a sweet photo of them. 🙂 Max is such a little cuddler when he isn’t trying to jump out the window at people going passed our home. Anyway, having kids and dogs in the house, I really worry about adding additional chemicals and toxins to our home. Home Made Simple is a line of plant-based dish soaps, surface cleaners, and laundry products without all of these extra toxins.
A few things I think you should know about Home Made Simple’s products:
They are made with biodegradable cleaning ingredients and made in the USA.
Dye free.
Formulated without phosphates, glutens, parabens and phthalates.
All bottles are 100% recyclable.
I thought it might be fun to share a little about the products we’ve been using in our home.
Multi-Purpose Cleaner
The surface cleaner is amazing. I LOVE the rosemary scent but it’s tough on dirt and grease, too. For example, check out our stove top (after making the kids an Italian meal).
I was skeptical that this would wipe off easily.
Isn’t that amazing?
It’s great on sauce spills on our white counters and spills on the finished butcher block. It’s not recommended on unfinished wood. The multi-purpose cleaner also comes in lemon and lavender scents.
Dish Soap
Zesty fresh lemons are infused in this dish soap that’s tough on grease. Lemon is just one of the great, refreshing scents for the dish soap. It also comes in rosemary and lavender. 95 % of the ingredients are plant derived. It smells great but also works on the toughest caked on grease from Italian dinners and fried breakfasts. Simply allow those stains to soak with warm water.
I often get this look from Max as he follows me around the house while I clean and pick up.
Laundry Detergent
We are HUGE fans of lavender in our home. In fact, my oldest just bought this lavender plant when we were at the nursery. Conor picked out basil and mint. I find the fragrance of lavender soothing and calming, one of the reasons why I love this detergent, (which also comes in an unscented option).
The detergent can be used in high efficiency or standard washing machines for over 25 loads of toxin-free clean! As you can imagine the kids come home with spills on their shirts and dirt & grass stains on their pants. The Home Made Simple cleaned even the toughest stains even in cold water. I know all you moms and grandmothers at home can appreciate that. I hate having to use toxin filled spot cleaners to get stains out.
Scent-Free Fabric Softener
Clean and fresh. Sometimes unscented is what is preferred, especially if there are sensitivities in the home. The fabric softener made our towels so soft and fluffy.
I hang a lot of my clothes and even the air dried clothes feel soft.
I know it seems like such a simple thing, but my family’s health and wellness is my main priority. To know there’s an amazing product now on the market that’s plant-based and works takes so much worry away.
As an added bonus, I love how pretty the packaging is. It looks so great out on the counter. I’m hoping Home Made Simple will eventually make some hand soaps, as well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
You can pick up Home Made Simple products for your home at Walmart.
Update!
After a month and a half of using these amazing projects! We’ve made the switch in our home.
I now look forward to laundry day because I love the lavender scent detergent so much.
Will you be making the switch to Home Made Simple as well?
