Stylish Stenciled Stationery
Back to school….
It is with heavy heart that I look to next week. I really, really don’t want to give up summer. I’ve enjoyed spending so much time with my guys over the break. John is 9 and Conor just turned 6, and I know sometime soon they aren’t going to want to play and cuddle me as much as they do now.
This summer has been fun! We’ve had so much fun at running up and down the aisles of Michaels, Ikea and Target. Lately, we’ve been hanging around the school supplies. I found some amazing notepads and journals and even a cool black clipboard from Ikea (I had an old one when I went to camp and used to make string bracelets on it. Did anyone else do this too?)
Anyway, as it is back to school AND also back to writing and blogging. I love keeping my ideas in journals and I also plan on doing over my office as soon as the kids go back.
I thought it would be fun to jazz up stationery with some fun mini stencils from Royal Design Studios and use their lovely metallic stencil cremes – perfect for fall.
I shared a full tutorial over on the Paint + Pattern blog here last week.
It really is so easy to give new life to some basic office supplies. The mini Moroccan craft stencils are perfect and the stencil cremes dry quickly.
I used some General Finishes Gel Stain and gold stencil creme on the magazine holders:
They will be perfect in my new office!
I’m also going to give some of these notebooks to my boys either for school or for drawing. They love to doodle. These would also make lovely gifts over the holidays. The vintage “D” stencil came from my friend Michelle over at Birch Paper and Home!
Many new ideas and projects coming your way soon thanks to my new journals!
I love your new journals – the cork one is amazing and the stenciling just adds the perfect touch! Happy long weekend!
