The Best Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies and A Giveaway with Polder’s Old World Market
There’s something amazing about peanut butter cups, that sweet and savory taste all rolled into one. Today I’m sharing the best peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. They’re not too sweet with just the right amount of crunchy peanut butter.
We love baking and cooking in our home, in fact, Conor our youngest is still saying he’d like to be a chef one day. So we try to cook and bake together as much as possible. Nice tools make all the difference in the kitchen and I’m really excited to share more about the beautiful heirloom pieces we used in this post.
This post is sponsored by Polders Old World Market. I received a beautiful box of their handmade dreamware to try and share my thoughts with you. Polders has generously offered a big giveaway to one lucky reader. More details and entry form is at the bottom of this post.
Polders Old World is a family business that is run on the family farm in Virginia. Each dreamware piece is carved by hand by family members. The hardwood is salvaged by felled trees on the forest floor. I fell in love with Polders beautiful spoons and spatulas three years ago, I shared it here. Since, then I’ve given my mom some of their spoons. They make great gifts for yourself or others.
This is the box that arrived on my doorstep the other day:
Look at the beautiful packaging! The previous items I got were cherry and I told Rebekah that I’d love a mix of all different kinds of woods. I love how each wood type has varying shades and patinas. I honestly felt like a kid at Christmas opening the box!
They have so many new products since, I last worked with them.
Above you can see the Basic Cookie Spatula in Walnut and Measuring Cup Set in Maple
Above is the Paddle Spurtle in Cherry and Original Measuring Spoons in Beech.
Everything is so stunning and felt wonderful in our hands while we were baking. The wood is so smooth.
There’s something about holding a piece of nature in your hands, that has also been carved with so much love and care. Handmade products are so lovely and become family heirlooms. I love using these in my home and I’m excited to pass them onto my kids later in life.
Spending time and baking together is another way of spreading love. I’m excited to share this recipe with you.
The Best Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 Cup butter, softened
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 Cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup white sugar
- 2 Cups Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 Cup Chunky Natural Peanut butter (no sugar added)
Method
Preheat oven to 350 farenheit.
In your mixer, beat butter, eggs, sugars, and vanilla; until creamy.
In a separate bowl, sift flour, salt, and baking soda. Add this mixture to the above wet mixture. Make sure to add flour mixture slowly or it can make quite a mess.
Add cup of peanut butter and mix with mixer. Stir two cups of chocolate chips in by hand (I used the paddle spurtle for this).
Once combined chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
Either use a reusable baking mat or or parchment sheets. Place rounded tablespoons of the batter on baking sheet. Bake in oven for 10-12 minutes. You want the edges to be golden brown. Make sure the cookie has set before removing it from the baking tray.
Allow to cool on a cooling rack.
Serve with milk or tea!
They’re the best right out of the oven. When the chocolate chips are still melting.
Polders’ measuring cups and spoons were so lovely to work with. They were so smooth and I love how the maple cups had pretty knots in them. This little candle smells so amazing and is their signature fragrance soy candle.
The cookie spatula is perfect for taking cookies off the hot baking tray. It would also be wonderful for serving brownies and pie squares.
I hope you guys will try these cookies, but before you go. Read all about the giveaway below!
