The Most Comfortable Swivel Chair
I’ve been on the hunt for the most comfortable swivel chair for our bedroom and I finally found it!
Here’s a peek at the progress in our bedroom and I’m sharing all the details about our NEW swivel chair.
Luke and I have been hunting for the perfect and most comfortable swivel chair. This may sound like an easy thing to find, BUT I’ve been looking for months. I think I virtually drove Luke crazy in my pursuit for just the right chair for our space! If you’re new around here we live in an historic Dutch colonial. Our rooms are NOT huge. This bedroom is the largest bedroom in our home – 18′ x 12′ but some of the beautiful swivel chairs out there are just too big for our room.
We’re currently working on our bedroom makeover as we swapped rooms with our kids due to the pandemic. I’m so happy we’ve taken our time.
If you missed it you can see the room plans here:
So far I’ve shared posts on:

Anyway, I was up at Boston Interiors with clients, Lenny & Elyse, helping them pick out custom furniture for their sunroom. Once we finished I walked around the showroom with Jane Kellogg, such a helpful and knowledgeable design associate.
Jane walked me through the showroom and showed me all the smaller profile chairs. When I saw the Temple Swivel Chair I thought this might be The ONE. Then I sat down. Oh, my goodness, I sunk into the chair (in a good way).
Boston Interiors were doing a 20% off sale and I actually liked the fabric the chair was stocked in. I had Luke visit the showroom the next day to test out the chair. He’s a lot taller than me so I always like to make sure he finds furniture comfortable, too.
What I Love About the Temple Swivel Chair
- This chair is made by Rowe Furniture and I love their cushion construction. Our sectional is also by Rowe and I really love it still. We bought that couch 4 years ago and it’s really standing up despite Max laying on top of it.
- I love the transitional shape. This chair is actually 37″ deep BUT the curved arm makes it seem smaller.
- It’s 100% Olefin – which means its high performance.
- It’s eco-friendly. The cushion core contains plant based and renewable materials.
- I love the wood base (it ties in with our wood trim)
- The chair looks beautiful from every angle
It really fits into our space so well and is so comfortable.
You can see a close up of the fabric here, but it can be customized in all different fabrics.
The other thing that was amazing was the chair was available and in stock in their warehouse! So, we had the chair within a week of ordering it!
This is our little reading nook in our bedroom. We plan on sitting here with a good book and coffee. For that reason, I opted to invest in Boston Interior’s protection plan – they will replace furniture if they can’t get a stain out.
I also found some faux plants for our bedroom. I’m definitely a real plant girl but some of the plants just weren’t thriving in our bedroom.
The plant is faux from Marshall’s. A lucky find my mom spotted.
The artwork is part of my California Collection and is available in my online shop (framed and unframed).
What do you think of our new swivel chair?!? Can’t wait to hear! I always get a bunch of questions so I’ll include a full source list below.

Love the chair fabric. I have two Rowe swivel chairs. They are super comfy! Your room looks relaxing and peaceful Danielle.
Thank you, Elaine. It’s really a relaxing and peaceful space. That was the goal. 😉 I’m so glad you love your Rowe swivels, too. xx
Love your chair Danielle! Your bedroom is lovely. Boston Interiors is a really nice furniture store. I bought a chair and ottoman for our living room a couple of years ago, still love it, and they are very good about stocking smaller scale furniture. So just a few months ago Jane helped me with a buffet I ordered! She’s so pleasant and helpful.
Thank you, Barbara! Aren’t they great up there? I love that they have smaller scale furniture, sometimes its so hard with an older home to find the right scale furniture. Isn’t Jane so nice?
