Top 20 Posts of 2020
Before I start sharing new content on the blog I wanted to take a breath and celebrate your favorite posts. Here are the top 20 posts of 2020!
Happy New Year, friends! I know things have been quiet on the blog front for the last few weeks. I really felt I needed a complete break with Luke and the kids. 2020 was quite a strange year with the pandemic, home schooling, turning the upstairs of our home upside to accommodate home schooling, putting life on hold a bit, and helping my mom. One year felt a bit like 10 years and it didn’t seem like we got many projects done even though we were “at home” all the time. I thought it would be fun to start the new year off with a look back. These posts were YOUR favorites from 2020. What does that mean? That means these posts were the ones you read the most according to analytics. Click the image or highlighted text to read that post. I’m actually quite surprised to see your favorite posts. Some of my favorites didn’t make it into the top 20 but maybe I’ll share a separate post of my favorites.
Seaside Christmas Home Tour 2020
I’m sure you probably don’t feel like seeing Christmas decor right now, but you might want to save this post for next year. This is Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk, and I was very honored to take part for the 3rd year. I love blogging and taking part in such a special tour with so many friends!
Flow of Home Tour
This is exactly what it sounds like. This tour gave you guys a tour of the flow of our home. I know sometimes it’s hard to get a feel for layout just from photos. This gave you a room by room look at the flow of our home. This year I’m hoping to share more videos and maybe I’ll do more video tours (if you’re interested).
Coastal New England Summer Home Tour
Summer by the sea is my favorite and our home shines at this time of year. I love how our home seems to grow in size in the summer months and we love lazy days out by the pool. This post is all about bringing light textures and colors into the home.
Cozy Spring Bedroom Ideas
At this point in the year, I think we all crave the happiness of spring. This post is about bringing branches, soft textures, and my love for white bedding. It’s crazy to think this is no longer our bedroom but a WFH shared office space for Luke and I. I’ll share more about this soon!
Christmas Lights at Night
We just took our Christmas lights down which is sooooo sad, but they were fun while they lasted. I especially loved having lights outside on our bushes and in our window boxes this year!
Vegetable Garden Tips
The boys and I plant a garden every year. It’s become something of a tradition. We love escaping to our backyard and seeing all these vegetables and lettuces grow. Growing a garden is so rewarding, especially this year! We look forward to planting another garden this spring but also adding a special flower garden. I’ll share more about that soon!
Watercolor Seascapes Free Printables
I love painting with watercolors and during the stay at home orders I painted most days. I gave these seascapes away as free printables. Be sure to stop by and grab them for your home or a gift for a friend. If you like these you might also like our online shop.

Trading Spaces: Driscoll Edition
We turned our upstairs bedrooms upside down and inside out. In fact, this is still an in progress project! The boys used to share a bedroom, but as they’re growing and spending more time learning virtually we felt they needed space dedicated just for that! You can see Conor’s bedroom reveal here and the plans for our bedroom makeover here. This was their bedroom which is becoming ours:

Hi, I was hoping to ask a question on the paint colors that go with wood trim post but this box isn’t there. It was a great article with beautiful pictures, I have similar wood trim and floors. For the rooms you use Mascarpone on the walls what ceiling color did you use? I’ve used Simply White on a ceiling with White Dove walls and it works well but there is no crown. I was just wondering if you use a specific ceiling color depending on wall color or if you used the same ceiling color throughout, specifically what you… Read more »
