Watercolor Pansies Free Printable & Decoupaged Eggs
Can you believe Easter is only a day away? My watercolor pansies free printable and some decoupaged eggs are a great way to celebrate.
I actually plan on using these pretty eggs at each place setting on our Easter tablescape and thought you guys might like to do the same.
I really LOVE pansies and have done so many crafts with them in years past. Like my pansies in eggs or pansies on a naked cake. They just make me happy. For a long time I’ve wanted to paint them in watercolor. I gave it a try this week.
It really was lovely to sit down and paint. I find watercolor so relaxing and love spending time up in my little studio we converted.
I thought these pansies would be so adorable on eggs.
Yup, super cute and easy to make.

Materials
- Sheet of Watercolor Pansies – link at bottom of the post.
- White Eggs Hard Boiled or You Can Use Wooden Eggs
- Mod Podge Matte
- Decoupage Brushes (I like the ones by Martha Stewart)
- Scissors
Method
Prep your wooden eggs with paint or hard boil some eggs. I bought white eggs because I thought the pansies would “pop” against them.
Print a sheet of mini pansies. This size is perfect for eggs or decoupaging small items.
Cut out the flowers.
Wet your paper slightly. I used paper towels to dab the paper with water. It minimizes the paper from bubbling. Apply some Mod Podge to the egg surface and also to the back of the paper.
Rub out any bumps or ripples.
Add a layer of Mod Podge over the paper to seal and protect it.
And that’s how you decoupage these pretty pansies onto eggs.
I actually had to take these photos shortly after decoupaging them because it started raining and we also had to get to the grocery store to pick up stuff for Easter. So you may see a few ripples or bubbles in the paper, but rest assured as they dry the bumps lay down. When we got home the pansies were completely flat on our eggs 😉
They look adorable in a basket with a bunny.
But also so sweet in wooden egg cups. I’m so excited to use these on our table this year!

The Pansies are so cute
These are lovely Danielle. I have some white craft eggs calling their names to put these pansies on. I like the raised effect too as they were drying.
Your pansies are so pretty and life like, thank you so much for these Danielle. Wonderful to have a hobby that gives so much enjoyment to yourself as well as others when you so generously share.
Hope your Easter was fantastic. Did you have Spring like weather or still having left overs from those nasty nor’easters?Your part of country sure got royal hammering this past winter, bbbbrrrr.
Now hopefully you can look forward to lovely Spring.
These are beautiful! Thank you!
Try printing the pansies onto tissue paper that is attached to a sheet of printer paper. The images will adhere to the eggs seamlessly. If using an inkjet printer, you’ll need to spray a fixative so the images won’t smear. It’s best to print these out using a laser printer, tho. Thank you for these lovely pansies.
Hi Mary, what a great idea to print on tissue paper. I’m glad you like the pansies 😉
