Watercolor Violas Free Printables
Painting with watercolors makes my heart happy and I’m so excited to share these watercolor violas free printables with you!
Friends, it’s been some time since I took my watercolors out to play. I guess with everything going on I haven’t been as motivated to tap into that part of myself. The other day I was feeling like I needed to paint.
I got my paints out and tried to paint.
I couldn’t.
It was too watery and just didn’t flow.
Heart-sick.
I said to Luke, “I think I forgot how to paint!” My heart was so heavy to admit that I couldn’t do something that I really loved doing. Had this joy left me?
He reassured me that I hadn’t forgotten how and it was just practice. He said, “Dani, you’re just a bit rusty. You need to make time to practice.”
The next day I got some tulips and violas at the garden center to create an Easter centerpiece. If you missed it you can see it here.
These sweet little violas inspired me with their smiling faces. Cheering me on in a sense. I got my watercolors out again.
I painted and painted and painted.
Luke was right. I didn’t forget. I just needed to practice and shake the cobwebs out.
It’s actually made me realize that I really NEED to make the time to schedule watercolor into my daily life. Even if I paint for an hour a day. The calm I feel after painting is akin to yoga or meditation. I think the key is to paint with no expectations. No inner voice. Just paint to paint. You know that saying, “Dance like no one is watching”?
Well, I thought I’d share a couple of the paintings with you as free printables.
Watercolor Voilas Free Printables
They are light and whimsical and happy just like those little viola faces. I thought they’d be pretty for you to frame as art, use on Easter tablescapes, or create note cards with.
